Law was played out of position in his tenure and didn't sit deep. I liked Law.

Anthony Grant in permanently for your midfield enforcer - release him from his situation at Shrewsbury.
Edmonson on loan from Leeds - should score at this level and looks physical enough to compete.
Try offer more loan wages and go back and get George Cooper from Peterborough if we can shift a high earner like Akpan from the wage bill.

If so then no, even with goals from midfield he's not what the team is lacking.

He's exactly what the midfield needs (if he chips in with goals). Only Scannel has scored from midfield so far.

Granted we need a good defensive midfielder but we also need goals from midfield.

 

We definitely need better than we've got and wonder if GB's bar is set high enough to make the difference we all long to see.I want to see a bit more ambition from Rupp, Rhodes et al.

He's not a central midfielder and if played there, as part of a two we'd get massively overrun.

If he's played there as part of a 3 then we lose all width and without a proper CM to break up play and win us the ball back then, as we've already seen, we don't dominate possession either.

 

The squad is easily good enough it’s the negative tactics every game we’ve sat deep and alias the other team far too much time and space

I think some of our transfer business will depend on what the outcome of the Bolton and Bury sagas today. If they don't survive raid them for Lowe or Bunn possibly if they survive then try and offload some of our sh1te to them
