Radio Leeds / Pulse Coverage

City will always be third in line behind Leeds and Huddersfield on Radio Leeds. So get used to crap AM reception, constant DAB drop-outs, and waiting until they've finished talking about the other two at full time before we get a look in. And careful you don't fall asleep at the wheel listening to Kiwomya.
Pulse was pretty poor but at least it cared about City.

 

Pulse are being taken over and pulling out of coverage I think

 

I read it as exclusives rights to Bradford City games.

 

To be fair to Radio Leeds it has done more than it’s fair share for the club with coverage not only on matchdays with phone ins interviews and forums such as the one to be aired on Saturday. I agree matchday hasn’t been brilliant the last couple of seasons but hopefully this deal will improve it

Isn’t this just fantastic not!!! We will get AM or medium wave. They demand exclusivity but we have to share. I was swearing like a trooper when I heard this. We have to use old technology and stand inline while the other two get top billing. Wandering round the house trying to find a good reception.

On a serious side @Onside last season a few times Thornton had to do the coverage from his phone. It was embarrassing. Credit to him for doing it but not always was the coverage given by Pulse at its best.

Never said it was top notch, but at least we had exclusivity and a DAB station.

 

I used to rip the Pulse for its rose tinted coverage but anything has to be better than Kiwomya, a surefire cure for Insomnia.

I agree completely re Wayne Jacobs , he spoke clearly and concisely and gave a great analysis of the games. Andy K. Is not in the same league.

 

There literally was no point in listening to the Pulse as the commentary they provided very rarely reflected what was actually happening on the pitch. Is Radio Leeds less biased? If so then I'd be more than happy to listen to the duller version.

If Pulse Sport is no longer on a serious note I hope Thornton and the staff that worked on it are ok. I am sure they will all sort themselves out with different jobs or jobs within whoever takes over but the future their doesn't seem good.

Can't really see the point of moaning about radio Leeds, there isn't anybody else out there that will cover City. Pulse have apparently said they won't be doing coverage anymore ,it's not as if Radio Leeds have gazumped them. The only other option was for the club to make coverage exclusive to I player which would have meant a subscription for anyone wanting to listen to coverage. A move that Dave Baldwin favoured a few years ago when he was here but was talked out of it.
