Have to agree. Any out of contract player with an appetite to play in leagues one and two will have been made aware to every club in that league.

 

Delays are always for a reason. If it is from the players end probably looking elsewhere and if from the clubs end probably looking elsewhere.

Nothing unusual here holiday or not he us out of contract looking for the best deal. The club will understand that

Unlikely to be a factor in negotiating and ‘agreeing’ deals but could be a factor in signing a contract and completing things...?

We already have a striker signed up sought after by league one teams and who we would have been delighted to be signing this summer. So no tears need to be shed if Vaughan goes Scouse

 

To sign for someone decent, yeah. This is league two football and we’re bradford city...

 

If you had said we could have Eoin Doyle 12 months ago i would have been happy. But last season has really put me off him, i know the service to him wasn't good and being used the way he was wasn't his game but his all round game really disappointed me. He is painfully slow and his finishing looked average at best. I'd rather we looked at a player with some pace to him up front.

 

Not like Vaughan isn't well known either. He was a £1m player just over a year ago!!!

He wasn't that great for us in league 1 though and with our current midfield I fear for him.

He came far too deep last season to collect the ball. He needs to make forward runs not backwards runs then he might score more for us.

We need a player up front with pace even if Doyle stays and Vaughan would be a good signing.

 

Well he managed 11 in a very poor team whilst Vaughan failed to score a goal in 9 outings with a very good one. Do t get me wrong Vaughan is a very skilled and hardworking footballer who I wish we could have signed I think at the minute Doyle will score more goals

 

How come when I write in a similar style to this, I get accused of causing arguments etc, but when others do it, it’s fair game?

I haven’t said the leak scuppered the deal. I responded to the comment regarding the club allowing this to drag on for so long. Others have insinuated the deal was verbally agreed until news he was available was leaked.

Hence my question of whether the ‘leak’ could he blamed.

I’m not naive enough to think that. I was merely responding to the claims of others. But feel free to pick me up on it and ty to get me into another ‘argument’

If we are honest, we probably need/want Vaughan more than he needs/wants us. So the club had to probably accept his excuse.

My God, how desperate are we, we might not have a pot to piss in, we're league two crap again.
