Whilst I agree, does Bowyer? Why else would he sign Devine, Anderson and Colville if he still believes we need a ball winner?

 

It all sounds wonderfully exciting but I can't help but feel we are throwing all our eggs into one basket, that basket been promotion.

I think he will sign at least 1. We don’t have a ball winner. Not one. Devine and Colville will be backup options and I don’t think we can rely at all on Reeves, given his circumstances. I’d suggest a tough tackler will come in, and if Akpan goes, a creative sort. This isn’t an ITK one - but I wouldn’t be hugely surprised to see Butterfield come back.

If Doyle goes, we might just try and bring back David Ball too.

 

I don’t think we’re over-reaching. It’ll be much more calculated than last seasons approach. Smaller squad, emphasis on quality.

 

Forget Ball.

However, I agree we need a ball winner and from for me a midfielder that can run with the ball from CM.

At this moment I would rather keep Doyle. We need a forward with pace also.

 

Yeah we need somebody in midfield who can mix it up a bit, somebody like Jay Spearing

It’s been said many times but it’s true, we need a Jones sort of character in mid. Hopefully a few years younger.

I always remember the game John Egan broke his leg, Plymouth cold Tuesday night. Flat game, strange atmosphere with the injury. But Jones didn’t let his standards slip, and got us the winner.

We need someone for them sort of flat games, to drag us through.

 

Sorry but not letting on with this one. Not yet. Long way from being done and if there’s even a small risk of rocking the boat, it’s not worth it. Either way, whether this player comes off or not, we’ll surely sign a left winger.

 

The way things are panning out regarding incoming transfers, cannot see us bringing in as many loan players as we did last season, which is no bad thing, maybe just the odd one or two toward the end of the window perhaps?

What about spearings cm partner the season they got promoted out of league 2, Jimmy Ryan, out of contract with Blackpool, did have an injury last season but remember him at Chesterfield he was a great player in that team when doyle was banging them in
