Restaurants and stuff

Blimey, a proper tour round the Med is that menu! Tapas, greek, italian... Vaguely remember the restaurant opening on that site when I was knocking about in Wyke but wouldn't have imagined it lasting.

Pretty sure Bostock & Crowther had a few tables in, back in the day. Good chippies down there, too.

Long gone now. I forget the name. But we used to get a beauty from a place behind the Alhambra opposite the rear doors, on the corner with Quebec Street. I think the buildings even gone now....Memory has gone, but I’m sure it was called Alladin’s cave or similar.

 

Shimlas up at Shearbridge. Get extra chilli sauce on a chicken donner, beats anything else in this thread hands down.

I assume it's the same group, we went to the Mumbai Village in Guiseley (used to be Saffron). That wasn't great either and blooming expensive.

 

100% agree and I genuinely don’t care that it has a 1 star hygiene rating.

 

Yep used to go there after a night out at Tumblers. Saw many a rat hanging around the side/back

 

These ratings are a bit misleading sometimes. 1 star can be for shoddy paperwork. (Altho there are plenty where I imagine it is down to poor hygiene.)

 

It gave the place a bit of character.

Not being funny but how can Mamma Mias fail? Isn't it the only Italian joint left in the centre of a city of half a million? There are more in Halifax, Keighley, Skipton or Otley! I suppose it can keep going on non-curry work & family do's forever as all the others have closed along with many nearby competitors Ital, Orlandos, Da Toninos............

 

Off to the Moody Cow in Apperley Bridge tonight. Birthday do.

 

Don't know if you've tried Galos in Bingley but looking at their menu there's a seafood pizza for you.
