Whilst I don't know that Rupp will stay for the long term, I do believe that he is an honourable man as evidenced by his providng of emergency funds to fill our financial hole. I hope that even if he plans to get out he will only do so only when the right owners come along.

I'm also optimistic that if we can stay in league 1 we will see an upturn in season ticket sales for next season. I only didn't renew this season in protest at Rahic's mismanagement. I'll be renewing wherever we are and I believe that many others will do the same.

 

Fordy, you and Onside have a good point. I can't say too much because, as you know I am no longer a Director since the change of ownership but I do believe that Julian knows the importance of being clear with us all and will no doubt be raising it with Stefan. I will mention the comments on here to JR when I see him at Wycombe tomorrow.
The one thing you have to bear in mind though is that the extent of disclosure may depend on circumstances between ER and SR which may not be resolved at the time any statement is made/interview given.

Hopefully not as bad a financial situation as in 2002 and 2004 as that took 10 years and a run to the league cup final to recover. At least after Richmond’s overspend we had a great time getting in the Premier league but we’ve little to show for Rahics folly. Hi Petrov, think we all hope Ball will still sign on a permanent deal in the weeks ahead but we also desperately needed a few more players to improve the quality of the bench - hopefully Anderson and Clarke will at least assist in achieving this. You can prepare all you want but if the players you target become unavailable like Sturridge or other clubs offer them more than we can afford there is nothing you can do on a limited budget. We have kept Payne and Obrien. brought in Championship quality in Butterfield covered the left back deficiency and Strengthed the forward areas so centre half apart I think it has been a decent window

 

True Park, my response would be our worrying financial situation is well documented and we all know how the January transfer works so I think it was important the club didn't raise expectations to unrealistic levels - to be clear I am not disappointed at our overall dealings as we now can put out a matchday 17 that has a bit more strength and a few more options.

Yes, agree. And just because the players on the bench are useful players it doesn't mean they can play in the positions we have a shortage/problem in!

We have to stay up, league 2 will kill financially especially in our current situation. Buying the club now isn't the same proposition as when Rahic and Rupp walked through the door. Rupp won't only lose some of his investment if he sells, he also has the problem of dwindling incomings and a sizeable debt compared to when he purchased it.

 

what he might consider is a joint ownership if one presented itself. Share the load. Nobody wants to walk away losing £6 million plus.
