I do agree but Im not sure with regards loans were looking beyond the end of the present season, bringing players in to keep us in league one.

 

Always looks nice and relaxed strolling round Yeadon Tarn on a Sunday.

All this worry about finances is unsettling for me, can't imagine what effect it has on the players.

 

Hanson was one of my favourite players in recent times given his scoring abilities in the big games and his partnership with Wells but I do hope he doesn’t come back. Won’t do anyone any favours, think he’s been finished at this level for a while.

 

Yet some were saying we should bring stead back. Personally wouldnt have either back but I don't get the stead love in compared to big jim.

 

Just heard Ellis Harrison is going on loan to a league 1 club after move to Ipswich hasn't worked out, played 150 games for Bristol rovers only 24, can play upfront and on wing? Could he be back up to surridge

I think both posts are to the point: the players are not necessarily young, but they haven't all played as many league games as one would expect for their ages. At the start of the year I thought to work out league experience, and came up with a side that had at minimum 143 league appearances each: O'Donnell; Mellor, NKP, O'Connor, Chicksen; Scannell, Reeves, Wright, Akpan; Doyle, Payne. Not bad, but some of those have since missed much through injury (e.g. Scannell, 300+ appearances), and others have disappeared without a trace (e.g. Wright, 300+ appearances). Most of our remaining players struggled to make double figures in appearances, yet we had to rely heavily upon them. LOB has been worth it, but the others? Signing Caddis has helped, but we need more like him.

(We signed Ball after I'd drawn up that list. He'd be in it, giving us a matchday side and one substitute!)

I’m sure i remember him from last season. Looked decent down at their place, not exactly a glowing endorsement playing against our shite at the time. Looked quick which is what we lack in abundance upfront.

 

Don't worry its a wind up mate.

 

Hopkin is not sentimental and would only bring Hanson in if he felt confident he had something to offer and could work a shift.

 

Could our winger be Harry Chapman at Blackburn? Just signed for them today and that could explain the delay. Mowbray says he’s going out on loan for experience
