I agree he certainly looks to be enjoying his time here especially when he scores.

Yes, you're missing the January recall clause.

The only thing that benefits us with the season long loan is that Huddersfield can't recall him and loan him elsewhere again.

I didn’t know that. Is that a standard rule or part of our loan agreement with them

Can only play for two teams per season? If he's not played for Huddersfield, only City, then he can be loaned out again and play for his 'second' team.

I think you're mistaken. It's FIFA regs which prevents a player being registered with more than three clubs in a season (including his home club for a loanee) and prevents him playing for more than 2 of those clubs. Since Payne hasn't played for Town in any official games this season, he has only played for one club and that's us. There'd be nothing to stop him from being being loaned or transferred to another club.

The only exception to that would be if City and Town had agreed to do that as part of their loan arrangement. But that wouldn't make sense since Town already had a recall option and have said that Payne was in the shop window implying they expected him to leave Town in any event.

I think you're all missing the "season long" part. He's contacted here until the end of the season unless recalled.

But that's why he can't be loaned to another club if they recall him. Nothing to do with the 3 club rule.

Edit ..... just looked it up and he can indeed be recalled half way through his loan and "re loaned" but the parent club would then owe some form of compensation. No idea what that would be though?

As a loan only ......... I'm sure a Sale is far above that, within football law ?

I think we are all happier with City than we were in Sept/Oct, except Fordy of course

It's come from @Onside87@Onside87 but we're not allowed his official source as we're not worthy.

Apparently we just take his word for it.

I think it was on that shite Paul O’Grady programme ‘For the Love of Dogs’. A little yapping fecka was barking into the trannys ear that they wanted to recall Jack Payne

Interestingly, @Onside87@Onside87's very first post on this forum was one about how the January window wouldn't save us, and how "If [he] were Huddersfield [he] would be seriously thinking about recalling Payne in Jan. There will be clubs in and around the playoffs who would snap their hand off for him. We are doing absolutely nothing in the way of getting him in the shop window."

    https://bantamtalk.com/index.php?threads/stefan-rupp-has-spoken.1474/page-2#post-123332

So I guess now he's suddenly massively in the shop window...

In other words, he had this fantasy/prediction about Payne being recalled back in October, and a few weeks on it's become his own personal gospel, probably emboldened by the idea we'd sign that Inniss lad despite him already being out on loan at Dundee.

    Zero chance, in my opinion.

Jack Payne imo is worth a fair size some of money together with LOB. If we want to build a team around a couple of people these are the guys we need.
