I just felt uncomfortable for him, he was in no position to say anything other than the Chairman is the best thing since sliced bread.

devil’s advocate would say, why does a manager need an office at the stadium when he only spends a few hours there on matchdays and 90% of his week at the training ground. pretty sure the majority of chairman / owners will have an office at the training ground. to be honest, i’d be surprised if they all didn’t. sheff united definitely do.

Where is the manager going to speak individually to players, write his team sheet and converse with the coaching staff if not in his office?

Devil's advocate? F#@&ing nonsense more like.

I've never known a past situation were Bradford City fans have needed to do anything with regards of protest, these are the first owners who have taken our club backwards because of there pre-determined actions.
I'll give Hopkin chance to get some players back and get them playing, I'm just hoping we arent awaiting the January signings to get us out of trouble.

I believe the office at Rawdon Meadows is the first as far as Bradford City are concerned.
So after saying "pretty sure the majority of chairman / owners will have an office at the training ground. to be honest, i’d be surprised if they all didn’t" you know of one Sheffield United .

Lets see if fans do protest first. Fans keep saying that they've never known the atmosphere be so toxic yet there's been plenty of time during my time supporting City that the majority of the ground has been up in arms about the manager especially, maybe not about the chairmen but definitely about hounding the manager out.

Josh was trying to be largely positive regarding Edin, but he's a bit too unintelligent to understand what he's saying.

he mentioned, mid flow, how he deals with Edin day in day out.... why? why do the players see Rahic DAILY??
and Rahic has an office at the training ground - and watches training - but doesn't get involved - no of course not, but I bet he discussed what he saw with Collins and offered his 'expert opinion' after the session!

Not the first owners and won’t be the last who take us backwards.

Lawn and Rhodes did but turned it around. It can be salvaged

You can pass exams, coaching courses and whatever, but if you don't possess the skills to implement what you've learnt, you are not going to be successful.

Trouble is, Edin thinks his "knowledge of football" including zero experience of the English game, and a coaching qualification he has never put into practise,is good enough for him to interfere with day to day coaching.

The players play for the manager / coach not the employer. If they are working under his scrutiny how confusing is that?

It's not confusing at all really. The players play for the manager/team mates, whether the chairman is watching or not gives no relevance to their performance (or it shouldn't).

Remind me which owners change what was a very successful club getting into a play off place under Parky and McCall and changed things totally to suit there model of how a successful football club should be run.
They even said they would not change the way the club was run as that was one of the reasons they purchased us, sorry they get no credit from me for our club being in the state it is at the moment.
I do hope your last comment turns out to be correct, even if it is salvaged many will not renew and without the fan base even accepting the cheap season tickets it will take something special to get them back on board, and I don't think David Hopkins is in the same league as Phil Parkinson.

I’m not disagreeing with what you are saying about our current situation at all.

But what you said originally was not that. We will always go backwards at some stage unless we continue to progress and end up in the premier league with no gaps in between. How likely is that though?

My point was we have been taken backwards in the past and we are at the moment. I am not disputing that. But it is still salvageable.

As for the comment regarding Hopkin not been up to parkys standard. Probably not. However not when he first joined us. He had a lot of failures on his cv did parky but did a fantastic job at city. Compare that to Grayson and he was garbage here in his short spell.

    Point being previous means nothing

I'm not involved in football coaching but I'd be gobsmacked if there was no practical assessment to prove that you can implement the theory as part of gaining coaching qualifications. I'm currently on a coaching pathway in another (virtually entirely amateur) sport which culminates in a 16 hour practical exam and I can't see a heavily regulated multi billion £ industry having a lower barrier to gaining essential qualifications than that. Then again, it is corrupt football governing bodies we're talking about so who knows...
