From a Club on the verge of Championship football to a complete laughing stock in the space of months is nothing short of a disgrace. The heart has been totally ripped out of a family Club which has descended into chaos and bewilderment, both on and off the pitch. We`ve been led down the garden path by imposters posing as Chairmen. We work hard during the week and deserve better than the calamity on show, it`s at a stage where i no longer look forward to the football on a weekend and i am thinking of better things to do after 50 years of supporting this Club. Shambles.

 

He was asked if DH can turn it around. He said he knows DH but the issue is the owner. Said it was crazy to sack a manager when 5th and then he said he knows Grayson really well and that Grayson has told him about some things behind the scenes which Goodman won’t repeat but said something like it was Grayson’s choice to walk away so ask yourself why would someone walk away from such a great club. He said it was the owners money so he has the right to make his own decisions about the club but the fact remains that the club is in a right mess. Something like that ish!

 

You're certainly not the only one. A couple of weeks ago Nick W posted a clip of Stephen Darby fooling about with fans. It was the epitome of what we had with the relationship of fans and players. It was built over a few years but tossed away in a breath. Seriously Park, How and Keefley. Do you still dismiss it as rumours?

 

That the owner was making stupid decisions but as owner he can do what he wants.

He also said Grayson left due to shambles in the background

 

To me it's all about experience. I become a better coach the more I coach. I've coached for longer than Mickey, whilst not having his qualifications on paper, I have seen more football games in my life than he has but Edin thought what a good appointment that would be..the most important decision the club will make over the next few years...hey ho well done Edin...

 

Don Goodman? nah, baseless rumours and conjecture and its all because Edin is German. if he was English we wouldn't have this. Banbrotam demands proof!!

 

It was a little embarassing for Wrighty, what could he say apart from as you quote "tow the party line" Don told it as it is we had a team under Parky that was bubbling away challenging for a shot at the Champinship Stuart goes one better and gets us to Wembley and the following season that team is ripped apart for one reason and another.
His comment with regards owners and fans was very poignant.
Whilst Edin is back home he needs to sit down and have a honest appraisal of his time at our club and either lets the professionals run the club or get the hell out.

 

He was bitter about Stuart's "sacking".

Don will ask about the owner, Josh will say he doesn't really know anything about that... the end.

 

His ego and thirst for power will never allow that. This club will go to the wall before his power is relinquished because quite simply city fans cant be arsed to do anything and just take the role of a victim claiming "we've seen it all before"

 

I just felt uncomfortable for him, he was in no position to say anything other than the Chairman is the best thing since sliced bread.

 

Yes there is no doubt you can't always be successful and I don't think anyone would have complained if they had done as they said they would, continued as the last owners did giving Phil free hand with most things football and introduced their model once they had got experience of running a football club.
Fortunately the first season went beyond their wildest dreams, but Edin still wanted more input into football matters, most people would have been happy with a Wembley Final appearance, not Mr I know football, he thought he could do better and the first sign of a poor run sacked McCall, history is showing he didn't, but in finding that out he has put our club back at least 3 seasons.
I posted when Hopkin took the job he would pull the club around 10 or so games into his tenure I'm beginning to question my original comment, not because I don't think Hopkin can turn us around but there is something within the club that is deeper than new manager, new players, new CCO, that for me is the most worrying thing.

 

It's just like passing your driving test, it doesn't mean you can drive.

Hasn't anyone noticed Goodman was laughing to himself and Prutton smirking when Wright started to talk? They are big friends with Grayson and Don is big friends with Macca they quite obviously know Wright was towing the party line
