Half way through the January window, one where we were promised changes we’ve one signing which on paper is decent, one who has gone straight on to the injury list, and possibly a semi pro who might have turned us down. And we still have Rupp apologists.

Half way through January and the much awaited transfer window
So far we have signed a striker (on loan) and a sicknote

Who’s the striker? Has it been announced?

 

If the rumours are true and a non league striker has turned us down and Borrow have turned down a measly 40k offer, then it maybe best to as Rupp to show the money rather than bring up the manager. If he’s identified targets and the owner won’t put his hand in his pocket what can we do? We aren’t talking big hitters either…

Two things that stood out for me at the end of the last window were Adams’ comments when we brought in Robinson, ‘he’s no Lee Angol’ and ‘in football you rarely get your first choice sometimes it’s your 5th or 6th choice’. The latter is why we are always well behind in transfer activity to our supposed rivals, as we have probably only gotten to target 3 so far, don’t worry we’ll scratch around for our 6th by the 31st.

Just about sums this club up last 5 years, more former players and a manager run out of town by our fan base who are quicker to blame them that the real problem. Unfortunately it could be a repeat of last week which will mean they climb towards the playoffs and we try to climb out of the bin.

We cannot spend money we have not got and Rupp has said he will not put any more in the club, Therefore we only have the money Crankshaw brought in which was rumoured around £70k So bids for players of around £40k are our limit

 

We need better than what we've got, so we are trying to bring in players of lesser value than the one we got rid of because he wasn't deemed good enough

I think under this ownership the policy is to sign anyone who's played in the EFL and hope they'll magically come good. We've been lied to that the intent was to get promoted and our transfer activity proves it. What Rupp wants is a pipe dream promotion push where he has to invest nothing in talent and Adams performs a miracle. They'll sign some crap so that they can at least say they tried and expect us to lap it up.
