If it was any of them I would have thought Jeremie Milambo (West Brom, Burnley and Sunderland have been keeping an eye on him) but it sounds like one of the younger kids.

 

It states an u15s player is the one who's been snapped up.
Has anyone else heard than every second year scholar has been released this year?

 

There was a tweet a while ago but I'm pretty certain is was confirmed as a load of waffle.

 

Now its official which is great. Have we got 11 players that can do this occasion justice? Failing that we might need to book some guests in ? I'd like to see players in for us that have some connection with Stephen Darby ? So Hanson, McArdle, Doyley Nakki Thommo at al. Not the likes of what's left stinking the place out from lasts season's utter farce!

The reason we are seeing no youth players coming through at City is down to the way the whole youth section is set up. Clubs like Blackburn, L666s, Man Utd, Man City, Burnley, Preston, Rochdale etc are trawling up the Aire Valley picking up kids as young as 7 to take them to local training sessions, signing up lads at an earlier age. City ask local coaches to ring up if they have anyone half decent. The result we only get other club’s rejects.

Down to money & another example of running the club on a shoestring budget.

However Huddersfield binned their whole youth structure & only take U23 that may have been released from the premier league clubs. So who has the right idea? Sign up local lad, who who is City through & through at 10/11 or a Joe Riley?

 

Tom Cleverley is City through and through, as you put it, signed for us at 8 years old, but still never played for us as Man Utd tempted his family and Tom to sign for them a couple of years later. So we have no chance of keeping the outstanding ones into their teens
