Agree so much with this post - so much of it is down to timing, circumstances and being the right fit. I think the Cowleys (currently) are the epitome of this at Lincoln, its not to say they could not be a success elsewhere but I am not convinced they are not in many ways similar to Stuart - not in style of play but in that so much of their success there was built around team spirit and togetherness that came from their man management style

I agree for whatever reason some managers (and players) can do no wrong at certain clubs, but with regards Cowley did a good job keeping Town up but the new owner wanted to take the club down a different route and didn't think Cowley was the right man to do it.
With regards players we only need to look at Bobby Campbell, Roy McFarland had him whilst manager at Valley Parade and knew exactly what his strengths were yet when he took him to Derby McFarland couldn't get a goal from him, he then returns to City and helped the team go from strength to strength , as did Stuart on his return from Rangers.

Quite right with Bobby.I think we got 65k
for him from Derby which I thought was
peanuts but his failure there and coming back
so soon was great news indeed.

The money was important with our situation
then but as soon as he got back he carried on
as usual and I remember thinking we got some
    recompense for Mcfarland jumping ship!

    Or that Cowley's win ratio in L2 & L1 is 53.3% and McCall's 37.3%

Would love Paul Cook but he’s turned down Salford so we won’t be able to tempt him. Cowley brothers but again unrealistic, we would get Alexander if McCall went but he will be here a while yet.

As crap as this result was i still believe he needs time.

If McCall was sacked or left (new CEO wants to go in a new direction?)
I would go for either Cowerlys or Nigel Clough. The former would come here with the right paypacket. The latter I think is a very underated manger. Did really great things at burton on a small budget, would fit in well at bradford imo.

Not game by game but three times in one game the man is useless at managing a football team

Correct after a nights sleep on yesterday's result. We need a change at the top and we need it extremely fast. If atleast a new CEO came in, they would change the manager straight away.

Would they? I'm sure the new CEO has already talked to Rupp. Seen his vision, his framework for the club in which to work.
Removing McCall may not be the pressing issue for the new CEO. Ensuring financially we are sound, a promotion challenge, providing Covid measures will be priorities just off the top of my head.
What if Rupp wants us to be financially sound with promotion as an objective? We can still be promoted as it stands today.

Can't disagree. The reality of Covid, economic uncertainty at lower league football level adds weight to your considered post.
