    There are some people who haven’t donated who perhaps deserve some criticism and that’s those posting in threads about the PL bailing out the EFL clubs. If they aren’t willing to help get the club £600 but want the PL to given hundreds of millions to the EFL it seems a bit hypocritical to me. While @Storck@Storck has posted on those threads I don’t believe he was one of those who expressed that view so he is fine

    A banner which will be placed on the JCT/Main Stand each home game. It will feature Bantam Talk and those members who have contributed, names will be included on the banner. We already have one paid up. The money goes towards the construction of it and any surplus would then go to the club, who are going to undertake the task. They cost £300 each.     Nothing against it, but I wont be contributing. For the same reason I didn't buy an ST - because I fundamentally disagree with how we're being run as a club. I dont but into the owner or CEO for one second.

    I'd rather donate a tenner to the burns unit.

    Will it give a bit of a boost to the forum? Maybe but tbh if we took the £100 @king karl@king karl has put in (or £110 with my £10) we would probably get a better return sticking that into Google ads than this £600 will bring so it’s not the main motivating factor

    These are valid arguments and I accept that's how some people see football clubs.

    I look at football clubs, and Bradford City in particular, a bit differently. For me, a football club is a lot more than just a legal entity. For me it has always been about the supporters. That's why, for me, AFC Wimbledon will always be the continuation of Wimbledon FC, it's why I regard the old and new Accrington Stanley, Darlington and even Bradford (Park Avenue) as one and the same. They all carry the spirit of their past into the future.

    Legal 'owners' of football clubs should be regarded as custodians, rather than owners, and I wish that that could be enshrined in law. Nevertheless whether owner/custodian or government or Premier League or supporters, it is valid to ask who should be bailing out clubs in these current times.

    My way is to contribute. It is not necessarily the right way, it is just simply my way.

    That's fair enough, we can each decide how we support our club. The pestering and tagging by mods, the email, the box that loads at the top of the page encouraging people to 'donate' is excessive.
