Nice touch mate with regards Chris (Ronnie Brown) North I'm sure he will be laughing seeing he's made the big time on a banner for all to see at his beloved Valley Parade, good on ya.

 

I don't get your angst. I don't think any of us who contributed feel like we've been misled or scammed. We're part of this site, and I'd say we all want it to have sustainability and exposure to make it even more usable. It didn't once cross my mind, after seeing the mock up, that the logo was too big, or our usernames were less visible. I look at it that we as contributors, are helping promote the website, whilst donating money (pocket change really) to the club. It's not even our real names - meaning that it's only really applicable and understood by those who use this forum. It's a bit of fun!

You're coming across as the type of person who knocks an idea, just because someone has gone ahead and done something, and you are put out because you didn't think of it first.

I'd say that rather than the organisers of this initiative getting a bad rep, it's you who has come out of this looking like a bit of a damp squib. Chill out and let others speak for themselves.

 

This forum IS the sum of it's members, free to come and go, contribute or not as you please, although I didn't contribute I thought it was a great idea for everyone's benefit...

 

It was sold to me as:
1. Helping the club out during these difficult times.
2. Increasing the profile of the forum.
3. That's it.

Having my name on there is largely pointless and I would've donated regardless.

 

I don’t care about the donations or charity. I just want my username on a massive banner at Valley Parade.

 

Isn't the idea of the banner to raise money for the club, irrelevant of what's on the banner, no one made members donate as they dont have to donate to the forum.

 

Mate, the banner was always about promoting Bantam Talk hence why I put in a post ' I am only doing it for Bantam Talk'

Promoting Bantam Talk makes prefect sense as it benefits everyone on here. Better posters will hopefully join and we will have better debates, more traffic to the site which will boost digital adverting plus much more.

You know I would hammer @Dennis @Frank Castle @SimonW @king karl @Bigrod @StaffordBantam if I thought they deserved it but not this time. I think this is a great idea. Just get behind this wonderful site and help drive it forward.

 

No, whether it was a tenner to contribute to the site's advertising I use daily for free or a tenner donated to the club. It's a tenner I dont think I was scammed out off. Happy with the look of the banner too.

 

This is to support Bradford City through this difficult time. £600 (minus the cost of the banners) will be a real boost to our multi millionaire owner.

 

Hope you're OK Hoochy and getting tagged/messaged/emailed hasn't been too much for you.

You are a miserable so and so.
They asked for donations and received them. There was no "getting" anyone to contribute.
As for the design it was already clear to me anyway the general look of the banner and that all usernames would be clearly visible but only in a close up shot.
If you don't like how this forum is run you can easily go some where else, nobody is making you come on here.
