No problem. No one should feel pressurised into donating. And no one should be criticised for not donating.

I see this as a bit of a fun way of helping to support the club through these difficult times. However, whether or not to take part is down to each individual to decide for themselves.

 

Quite right. Both forums cater for different City supporters, with some overlap.

Just like the myriad of supporters groups/branches that we have; I've never understood the attitude that some City supportes have to certain groups. We are all supporting City in our own way, if you don't agree with a certain group, don't join.

 

If you look at post 2 in this thread, the proposed design was made very clear. In fact the area used for advertising the site, was reduced on the final design, to allow the backers to take up more space.

 

Look this is the first time we have done something like this and we had such a short amount of time. There are things we could have done better, for example charging £10 was most likely too little as it means we have too many names, especially when many people here have fairly long username. We were trying not to have too much empty space and that dictated the logo size somewhat because the cockerel needed to be a certain size to limit blank space around it. We shrunk the site name text which has wasted some space but did allow us to move the size of the names up a fair bit but going any further than that didn’t gain us enough space to make any more difference and the balance looked out of place.

TBH if I knew they were going to be placed right next to each other like that I might have dropped the logo completely on the second one and treated it as a single 12*1.5m banner. I still think they should be able to be read though

Also a big point of the logo is to draw people’s eyes. If for example it had just been names it wouldn’t have stood out and would have just blended into the background.

As I said elsewhere though if it was about advertising the forum I could have used the £100 Karl put down way more effectively with Google ad purchases. Infact throw in the £15 I put in and the money I had to spend to buy a better quality version of the base icon used in the logo as the logo was web ready but not print ready we could have run a pretty good advertising campaign that almost certainly would have been more effective than this will be

 

Sometimes the mods like to have a bit of fun. I would suggest the only embarrassing reaction on here is that of your friend Tolly though.
