what can I say, I don't like arrogant egotistical people.

or people that make me not want to go watch Bradford City at VP, and he did that.

Oh, so you wasnt there against Arsenal, or Villa? Or Burton for that matter? What about Leeds at home, or if you could be bothered, Wembely twice in one season? Did you miss all them?

Hey @Martin Halliwell@Martin Halliwell mate. Head over to the Cows Arse forum, you’ll get a better reception over there. Don’t be thinking all City fans are representative of these stiffs on here.

I take it you know we actually played a lot more matches during his time than those 5 games?

or are you just a bit of a band wagon jumper?

Why so anti Parky? He did an unbelievable job at Bolton. Bet if you saw him in the street you’d say different to his face

well I mean I think he's already said why he's so 'anti parky' - his mind numbingly boring football.

I’m not so sure this is genuine. Most folk I’ve met from Bolton seem to be Man Utd or these days Man City “fans”. I presume that’s why they moved to Horwich?

Definitely not, been going for 17 years, seen good and bad - but those times were definitely good. Just abit strange that you seem to have such a hatred towards a manager who created unbelievable memories and said you couldn't stand going to VP under his leadership, so my question stands - you missed all those games cause you couldn't stand his leadership? Unlike some of us who travelled far and wide watching them, because we enjoyed it.

Of course I went to them games.

but those 5 years, give or take a lucky league cup run, and scraping into the play off's aside, was largely awful. it was a chore to go watch on a Saturday afternoon. and we played some god awful stuff.

The FA Cup run was magnificent, I'll give him that. but lord the league football was dreadful, the league cup run was incredibly lucky, and the season we got up through the play offs we should have walked that league, but we didn't because the management was poor.

HA! 'a lucky league cup run' 'scraping into playoffs' in no way shape or form was the cup run lucky, it was down to hard work and togetherness - the players weren't that good technically, the players we have now are far superior, but my god dont we need a couple of characters like we had back then to give these lads a kick up the arse - players that Parky chose, for that reason. We didnt scrap into the playoffs, again it was belief and team spirit that got us there, after a slog of a season, they still managed to find results in the last few games, and then come through the playoff semis when we looked down and our against Burton. Then some very good football against Northampton.

Yes, his tactics were boring sometimes, but by god he got us winning games, something which we need right now!

it was very lucky. we were so lucky against Wigan, and against Arsenal...and for that matter, even the first round at Notts County.
and those last few games we shouldn't have had to be fighting tooth and nail for the play off's, we should have been home and hosed.

his tactics were boring, negative, predictable and basically unwatchable at times. and we had some awful runs. 1 win in 21. 6-0 home loss to Bristol City. we were absolutely dreadful at times. and it's only because League Two is so poor that we got any results.

Why were we lucky against them? Because we won in a penalty shootout? Wigan away, we had a depleted team, but still managed to draw against a higher opposition team over 90 mins. Arsenal, millionaire superstars, who were 1-0 down from the 15th minute, could only muster a goal from a set piece (I think) on full time. Those results weren't because we were lucky, it was because they worked hard for Parky and battled for each other. Granted, Notts County was abit of luck, hanging on for so long at 0-0 but again, we managed to break the deadlock, and hold on to the lead.

Yes, his tactics were boring at times, and yes he had poor returns over the course of the season, but who doesn't. The fact of my arguement is that you wouldn't have him back although he built a strong team, who would fight and bring joy to Bradford fans.

As if this thread couldn't get any more embarrassing (and I'm not referring to the op either).

He's clearly on a windup and you all fall for it. Every. Single. Time.

    Great work @Ricc@Ricc

Anyway, no point arguing with someone who clearly can't see what he did for the club, and who thinks Stuart McCall is our greatest manager ever. I think alot more peopls are for Parkinson then against, although if they would want him back is another question. But he wont be coming back so don't loose any sleep over it, will you?
