So you'd prefer it if we lost to Wycombe?

No, of course not, and I'd definitely be going to Wembley if we got there!

I'm just saying I along with the vast majority of our fans don't have much interest in this competition, not least any of the rounds before a potential final, especially not now with the current state of affairs.

I don’t disagree with what you say, however feel the discontent of the real issues at the club are more at the forefront today than they have ever been since Rupp took ownership. A EFL Trophy semi final won’t cloud over that.

However for the sake of the club, I do think it needs to be put aside for this game as much as it can and it is not the time for protests. The competition offers one small solace amongst a dire season and so far, and potentially further an additional revenue stream as well as something for fans to smile about.

Trusting ownership to spend that revenue stream correctly is another topic, but I’d rather be in the place of having access to it than not at all. The off-field discussions outside of the game can address and challenge that.

Wycombe won their first away match since October last weekend (Cheltenham 3-1). With our woeful form, should make for a tight game. I’m presuming there’s no replays and it’s extra time or straight to pens?

Irrespective of what is going on at the club currently, we as fans should back the players for this game. They are not Sparks and Rupp . Its a semi final at home and a good chance of making it to Wembley.
I attended the Doncaster game , first time for this comp and enjoyed it, far better game than the Wimbledon, as both teams had to win.
It would be great to win this comp, when have we actually won anything, last thing was the title in 1985. All other promotions as a runner up or playoff's.

Sparks could spin it as he wants, I think the vast majority of fans would see through it! His credibility as a CEO is shot to pieces and this trophy ain't going to change the massive problems at the club.
I agree with Olly, the fans should nonetheless support the team if they can as we have got this far and lets hope the boys can do it - but it won't change my views on the lousy leadership at our club

Some fans cant think beyond Twitter and therein lies the problem. Anyone intimating that we should lose just to “ teach the owner a lesson” are effin dumb!

Just had a look on the ticketing website to see what has been put on sale and they've done the same as the Doncaster match with lower Main Stand and Kop plus upper TL Dallas. Unless we go on a run and win the next 2/3 before the Wycombe game I struggle to see us selling enough to make opening the TL Dallas worthwhile. I'm not sure how much the lower kop holds but i think lower Main Stand is around 4000 so we would be needing a 6000+ attendance for it to be worth opening the TL Dallas.

About 8000 over the two lower sections.
It would be nice to have both fullish, would look good on the sky .

I'll answer my own question. Straight to pens (extra time only at the final). Wycombe beat Burton 4-1 in the quarters, so I think the possibilities of pens is a pipe dream, but you never know!

This is going to be some occasion.

To think that, in 121 years of existence, we have only been to Wembley 4 times, yet here we are just 90 minutes away from a second visit in a mere 7 years under the guidance of Stefan Rupp.

    It's truly a golden age.

I really hope we make the final.
    Putting aside the cost
Our young fans will love their day out regardless of the competition.
If you attended any of the following you'll know what I mean Notts County, Northampton Town, Swansea City and Millwall.
Two wins Two Losses at the old and new stadium, great experiences and always a memorable event.

Millwall spoilt the day and experience on the last visit.

Yep, firmly in my head. Plus our coach broke down, so only just got there in time to watch the match. So I doubt we would go.

I would like to think Blackpool and Peterborough fans have more of a family fanbase.
All clubs have idiots but I would never class Millwall In the same vein as the club's above.
Absolute neanderthals, punching police horse's outside Wembley and received the accolade of family club of the year.
Yes that one left a sour taste but the other finals didn't even after a crushing defeat to Swansea.
