Wycombe fan here - you played us off the park, and not arguing that was anything other than a smash and grab. However, I am really on here to say good luck for the rest of the season. On that showing you will be knocking loudly on the door of the playoffs.

 

What a bloody shame but we were the team we all want us to be tonight, played superbly and no doubt deserved to win. So many really good performances, so sorry for Stubbs in making the key error as he was brill otherwise. Odour and Kav were superb, Gilly and Halliday boundless energy - they were a proper team tonight but just couldn’t finish Wycombe off. Nothing but pride from me tonight and we have to use it as a springboard for the rest of the season (shades of Parky after the Swansea defeat?)

Ps for me tonight is not a night to moan about any of our players

 

That's very tough to take, but no arguments on performance. We were the better side throughout and just didn't take our chances. In fact, id say it was our best performance of the season. With Cook in the side, we go through. I'd be surprised if Smith can finish a bag of crisps.

McDonald makes such a difference. Physically commanding, and excellent in the ball. If he can stay fit and play regularly, with Smallwood next to him and Gillead as a WB, we look so much better. And Brad Halliday was immense, get him on a new contract now.

 

Wether we win or lose this for me is the best attacking display of the season against a decent side. Alexander can be proud of the effort tonight.

Someone call the police there's been a robbery in BD8. Football the only sport in the world that can kick you in the balls like that. 99/100 we win any game with that performance. Galling that we've played far far worse than that this season and come away with a win, but I guess that's football.
Feel so sorry for the lads, they really didn't deserve to lose that.

 

Lets be totally honest, Peterborough would have royally bummed us had we got to Wembley so hopefully we can now put everything we have left into a play off charge. Lets not waste the feelgood factor of the last 4 games

Even your Chairman and others apologised afterwards but you need to score and we didn’t BUT not for want of effort. Come on guys recover well and 3 points Saturday.

 

Of course we are playing our full strength team, madness how anyone would even think any different at this stage. Worth around £500k for winning the thing all in, more valuable than any league game in a season where we will end 10-11th. We are a sustainable club, we can’t afford to set fire to money.

 

Got absolutely mugged there. Wycombe were truly dreadful to say they're a division above us and we created enough chances to win that game twice over.

Positives are we played good football on the deck which has to be the standard from now on. No more hoofball when Cook is back, because shock horror we play better when the ball isn't in the air.

We'll get more out of tonight even though we lost than winning when we play shit.

Though Wycombe were very much 2nd best on the night they were bloody resilient - one overall comment, although they were up against it they didn't resort to time-wasting, fake injuries etc that we see so often. Both teams were honest as day on a difficult pitch and deserve recognition for that. Also thought the ref did a good job overall.

Final comment back to our boys, some of the football you played tonight was a joy on a difficult surface - now make us as proud for the rest of the season

 

I have been totally underwhelmed by Oduor, but over the last few game he has been brilliant. Last night he was virtually unplayable, they didn’t know how to stop him.

 

Reading this thread I don’t think people are celebrating a loss they are appreciating a good performance

 

If you weren't entertained by or came away from that game complaining then you clearly do not understand football. Unfortunately it's the only sport where domination will not guarantee you a win. But then I'm a student of the game and as such I can see that type performance will win you 9 out of 10 games.
