    Football is very cruel sometimes but you have to take your chances when you have them.

    Football can be very cruel and that had nil one written all over it.

    A fantastic performance tonight that can give us a real chance of sneaking into the playoffs if we take that form into the league.

    If that performance is the benchmark for the rest of the season, we're in for a very interesting run in.
    We won't come up against a 'keeper as "on form" as theirs was tonight. I reckon he made 4 or 5 top class saves and kept them in the game.

    I doubt we’ll come up against many better keepers in league 2. Excellent football and played on the deck. Just goes to show that keeping possession bears more chances than hoofing to Cook. Well done lads, no shame on Stubbs. I had a feeling an error would cost us, just a shame it happened so late on with no chance to respond.

    No argument with his movement or effort, but his finishing wasn't good enough.

    Just wasn’t our night, played superbly all game but the ball just wouldn’t run for us in the penalty box. Wycombe couldn’t have complained if we’d won 3-0.

    Better side tonight, just couldn't get the goal against a decent stopper.

    Some of the lads will be disappointed, but we've outplayed a League One team and should have bagged a couple of goals.

    I can't see Kelly being fit for Saturday which is a shame because the defence had built a great understanding. Who he puts in that left of a 3 is anyone's guess. Hopefully everyone else is OK.

    Just making the point generally. Make a mistake as a keeper or defender, its costly. Make a mistake as a forward, its less obvious in terms of being impactful. No blame should be on one person, we win together and lose together. Again, a general point, not aimed at you.

    He’s not in top form, nope. But still better than Smith.

    Strangely, because I don't rate the EFL (BSM) Trophy as a competition, I've enjoyed the games in the competition this season. I believe its because I've been able to enjoy the football (Derby away and last night in particular) without the result feeling the be all and end all.

    A few positives:
    • in the early stages, it's been a useful way of giving game time to fringe players (and those coming back from injury)
    • £180,000 earned for the Club in participation/prize/TV money;
    • some entertaining football;
    • the chance to 'trial' the Bradford End for home supporters; and
    • in the latter stages, a chance to build some form to, hopefully, take into the remaining league season.

    I might just revisit this competition next season (I still won't attend any matches involving under 21 teams though).

    I would like to see a Kavanagh / Young partnership up front Hulme. Smith a tad disappointing last night.
    With no Cook it was refreshing to see us actually playing football where it should be played - on the floor with energy, pace and decent shooting overall.
    Let's see if we can continue this lovely brand of football on Saturday!

    I now believe it wasn’t. Initially in Jan I thought it was a ruse by the player not the club. ( GA “ He pulled up after 5 mins of training because he felt …,etc “ ) However I posted in December, after watching several Swindon games ( City game cancelled , not playing etc and saw the tackle that caused the injury) . He got treatment for a long time. A video of Flynn pre another game the following week said. “ “He hasn’t trained all week and he was only 60% fit” . He was subbed, from memory, during the next two games as he was limping badly..same ankle. I’m now clear Flynn played him injured continuously in repeated games in Dec before handing him back.
    I was wrong about the player crying injury clearly . For that reason I said recently Flynn behaved extremely badly in playing a player injured , whilst he knew ( at the time) Young was going back to his parent club. He should be ashamed , completely unprofessional imho.
    I could be wrong of course , however the vids do exist on you tube.

    In better circumstances yes, absolutely.

    However, we all know Sparks & co would spin a Wembley final into making everything seem rosy and using it to garner ST sales.

    The deep, serious issues that are affecting our club will only be masked under the success of this competition and it will only delay the required changes necessary for us to move forward long-term.

    I would like to think Blackpool and Peterborough fans have more of a family fanbase.
    All clubs have idiots but I would never class Millwall In the same vein as the club's above.
    Absolute neanderthals, punching police horse's outside Wembley and received the accolade of family club of the year.
    Yes that one left a sour taste but the other finals didn't even after a crushing defeat to Swansea.

    No appetite for this game at all, nor the final should we get there.

    The only effort I may make is to watch on TV.

    Rupp and Sparks affect rapidly corroding my interest for the rest of the season.
