MacDonald and Smallwood making a massive difference to our midfield from Saturday allowing us to play some lovely freeflowing football. Just lacking a cutting edge and final ball lacking at times but very very encouraging stuff.

Oliver was useless. Cook or Young available and we win.

Play like that every game between now and May and we may still have a trip to Wembley to look forward to, excellent in defeat and a deserved ovation at the end. Hope that reaction from the crowd can spur the lads on for the remainder of the season.

Why should they be embarrassed?. They defended very well, keeper did his job well, and took their chance, that's football.

A conundrum for all of us who enjoyed the performance. Would we prefer to watch that and lose or play like we did against Sutton and win?

Perfect scenario is play like last night and win of course.

We missed Cookie in one respect, however we didn’t in another. Lumping balls to his head no longer works, that’s what we would have probably done with him playing?

That forwardline with a fit Young, instead of Smith would have been something else last night?

Let’s stop blowing smoke up the keepers arse, the saves were easy and the shooting was poor.
The chances we created last night were fantastic, it was exciting to watch but we lost because we didn’t have a goal scorer on the pitch. Simple.

It is unbelievable that we have this kind of attitude amongst our fans. A Wembley trip is not the same as other away matches. I have been to all Wembley trips before and if I feel like it I will go to this one if we qualify even though I have not been to ANY of the qualifying rounds.

It will be the strongest team possible for the semi final, this is a big game for City and even though a lot dismiss this cup it gives us a day out at Wembley, not forgetting it’s decent financial rewards.

Baffling to say the least, if it was limited with regards accommodating City fans I'd happily go along with the points system but its not, I'd like Bradford City fans to attend in numbers as we have done previously or we will get some saying for the size of a City like Bradford we should be getting more that 15/20,000 at Wembley.
Attend if not watch it on TV, I've been 4 times winning 2 and losing 2 and both situations can be emotional but when you win at Wembley no matter what the occasion it's something I want to be apart of as a Bradford City supporter.

I don't really understand the apathy towards the competition.

I get it v U21 sides and I don't like playing them either. But no U21 side has ever reached the final (or even semis perhaps) and now it's just bona fide teams we should be all in.

I've always wanted us to do well in this competition as it's our only realistic hope of silverware outside the bread and butter of the league.

I so want us to win this tonight - mainly for those attending, the players, the boss and other staff at the club - but also for the many City fans dotted round the globe who will be watching on Sky, and yes for the much maligned Rupp, Sparks and Gent!

But make no mistake, if we do win it will not change the bigger picture and our rightful pursuit to expect more from those running our club

Don't give a shit. For me, everything changes after this performance. We've grown and we are developing into a good side. Feeling positive regardless of the scoreline.

Despite the conditions, a good game to watch and I thought we played some lovely stuff on that pudding of a pitch.

Every player played well tonight, toss uo between Kavanagh and Odour for MOTM for City.

Credit to their keeper who pulled off some great saves.

Wasn't to be, I'm not too downhearted, let's go on and have an unlikely push for the play offs now.

If Cook had been playing we wouldn't have played like that, we would have just lumped it up to him.

Whilst the Manager is important, I think their role is sometimes overstated. What I mean is, the manager will put in place systems, principles, tactics, but so much then depends on the players they have on the pitch. The difference between having a genuine playmaker like McDonald in the middle and Gillead as a wingback with his energy and running, as opposed to Gilly sitting in midfield and Ridehalgh being on the left is huge. Having the right players in the right roles will take the same system and make the difference between difficult to watch, aimless long ball, to front foot, aggressive direct and effective football. GA needs time to shape his squad

Irrespective of what is going on at the club currently, we as fans should back the players for this game. They are not Sparks and Rupp . Its a semi final at home and a good chance of making it to Wembley.
I attended the Doncaster game , first time for this comp and enjoyed it, far better game than the Wimbledon, as both teams had to win.
It would be great to win this comp, when have we actually won anything, last thing was the title in 1985. All other promotions as a runner up or playoff's.

Millwall spoilt the day and experience on the last visit.
