There seems to be a bit of hatred on here to Parky and i saw old Ricc from the old board having another go on Facebook. But he did the business for us and gave us at least one season which was up there as being one of the best in our history. I would welcome him back every time

What a fantastic win against a team who have only lost one at home all season and average three goals a game at home. Can we have a just one night with a bit of positivity after all the crap that has gone on

Interesting observation. I don't count Crawley as the 'miss' resulted in a goal anyway which leaves Cook with an 80% success rate and the Crawley 'miss' didn't cost us points, we failed to win for other reasons.
The other two fails were almost identical. Instaed of his usual blast both were placed low to the gk right and with insufficient power, why, only Cooky knows. Net reusult no points lost at Wrexham and two points dropped at Stockport, maybe he does need a break but I wouldn't and seeing the man management of him by GA at the final whistle tells you what the Manager at least thinks of him and deservedly so after his goal of some skill and angered determination to put the miss right.

While I'm on the view of the more considered Wrexham Boardroom was not so much that we 'mugged' them more that their players believe they only have to turn up to win the League. The blame from these people is directed firmly on the owners over hype, so much so there was little conviction yesterday that they will even get auto spots, "see you in the Play Offs" were two comments and who knows but we will need to improve, a fact everyone at the Club knows.

Even with promotion Wrexham will have the first year of meeting financial rules to deal with and on recent holiday I read two different articles suggesting that unless the owners cobble some sponsorship deals together to boost revenue, they may have to get rid of as many as five of their squad to balance the books. I don't see their fans paying inflated ticket prices to make up the difference, as our fanatastic fans chanted yesterday, "where were you when you were s***e".

    We shall see.

I'll repeat what I said earlier slightly differently but more directly. From the perspective of the person who is in a position to sack Sparks which is Rupp and only Rupp, Sparks has done nothing wrong. The club remains in the EFL and the owner hasn't had to dip into his own pockets to plug any shortfall. Sparks might have hoodwinked the fans on many levels but that's immaterial to Rupp so long as we remain in the EFL and he isn't expected to dip into his own pocket. Only when either of those two objectives are put at risk will Rupp take action. Hopefully, the risks will become clear to Rupp over the next few months.

Our players took some grief at the end of the Salford game (not deserved in my opinion) from a minority of our fans who were not happy (acting like spoilt entitled brats) so I am expecting/hoping the team selected will be fired up for this to stop our mini rot.
Calling it that maybe a tad harsh though; We lost at Newport but were down to ten men after 18 minutes, then lost to a Championship team and had an away day stinker at Salford who celebrated like they'd won the league which tells you how up for the game they were.

Mullin looked angry and he's due a goal and we've not had Palmer or Fletcher available who should both be back. I doubt Parky was pleased either and I would imagine he's read the riot act this week.

Saying all that teams often raise their game at the Racecourse and we can undoubtedly be got at, that's usually in the form of a fast start and a high intense press, which when I said this on the ticket thread prompted some replies which suggest this isn't a tactic you will or are able to employ. I would imagine your manager will try to Mourinho the game and hope to nick a goal from a set piece. Enjoy the game anyway and have a safe trip. Train travellers may want to take note of this; http://www.redpassion.co.uk/forums/wrexham/123711-wrexham-general-post-match-problems.html

Oh and by the way the forecast was total crap and we've not had one snowflake fall in north wales, just rain all morning.

Full credit to Cook for that goal, another goal created by his great footwork and perseverance. Hopefully that gives him the boost he needs

Well that was about as ugly and horrible as watching football gets, but fair enough - that's an excellent result. Let's see if it's a catalyst for the remainder of the season.

McDonald made the difference. We started playing the ball on the floor a lot more when he came on.

I think the Richards injury was a blessing in disguise.
Having Macdonald on the pitch makes us tick better.

Three points all down to Ryan Sparks.

Absolute masterstroke to say our ambition is sustainability and take the pressure off the players, look at Wrexham's display for a good example of how the expectation of promotion can cause a wobble.

No surprise he was identified as being CEO material at a young age.

Are you seriously suggesting yesterdays admittedly brilliant result changes the issues we face with Rupps ownership, Sparks leadership, Gents recruitment etc ???
Typical short-term ism of some City fans - 1 win and alls rosy again, next defeat and you'll be back having a go!
I dont want our future ambition to be staying in the EFL!!

No, the fans are providing it. Because without them we wouldn't shift as many tickets or as much merchandise which makes us a better proposition for potential sponsors. It's a knock on effect. Rupps problem comes if the take up on tickets drops, you have the knock on effect the other way of less merchandise, food and drink being sold, hence a smaller budget allowed to compensate for a smaller turnover.

Everything about our club is built on cheap tickets being shifted in volume.

once you set your prices for next year, that’s it. You can’t revise them.

as it happens, whether they are frozen or increased, the fans already have enough reason to boycott now.

Our sponsors and partners won’t be happy when we’ve signed agreements and expect 15k through the gate, but we’re only getting two thirds of that on a match day.

A big drop in ST sales causes a domino effect and Rupp has to then wake up.

You will be thanking them soon when SR realises the depth of feeling and that there is a real possibility he will have to put his hands in his pocket to prop up the club (to protect his asset) and that those he is giving the money to don't know how to spend it wisely. If that doesn't shake him to look to sell asap then nothing will and by default the punters will continue to wane and the club will ultimately continue to regress naturally. Look at recent actual league attendances-no where near the official figure quoted. You may be sticking your head in the sand hoping it will all get better soon. Fortunately there are others who are looking to the future and are trying to make it a much better one than it currently looks.

Have the rebels done that or proposed that yet? NO. We have written a letter to Rupp inviting him to talk. If he is unwilling then other action will be considered. I reiterate my point that his operating model is taking us backwards, facts speak for themselves.....

The referee was very poor, yes.
    • Lee kicked the ball away in the first half and didn't receive a card
    • Our players were elbowed on several occasions
    • Mullin consistently dived and never received a booking
    • Hayden should have received a red card for the penalty foul as the last man
Also, the dropball should have been a foul anyway. Lee pushed Platt into our keeper, which should have been flagged as dangerous play and been a second yellow card.

So yes, the referee was very poor and clearly favoured your side... But we still won. First half, yes, you played better than us, but the second half was the complete opposite, and we deserved the win. Could and should have been 0-2.
