Plenty of former City men in the dugout here (and Sparky analysing in the studio with Shearer!). On BBC - McBurnie goal sees Blades lead, approaching HT.

Parkinson/Parkin in charge at Wrexham and Heckingbottom/McCall at the Blades.

It is funny how McBurnie’s career has turned out after barely having a kick under Parky, so rather ironic he bagged today.

Can you think of any ‘rejects’ who have moved on from us and torn up trees elsewhere to a greater extent than McBurnie?

We got a hefty fee (and subsequently potentially club changing) for a youngster we didn't have the capacity to develop from a higher league club, I don't think he falls under the definition of "reject".

He was a reject for me - had his chance and failed to impress. Was therefore loaned to Chester - nobody thought he was doing anything in his career.

It was only when he scored goals in some Milk Cup or something for Man Utd - when allowed to play for their youth team - that the likes of Swansea were interested. He was never getting anywhere near our XI when we had some of the best strikers in the division in Hanson and Wells.

Our fans were amazed we got a fee for him - hence the ‘reject’ label!

He was no reject he played in the first team when not physically ready but you could see his potential then. He was always going to be a good player..

He appeared in our first team at 17, and left us at 18 years old, if we're writing players off as rejects at that age then there's not much hope for anyone.

The fee and transfer was a surprise, but it's indicative of where we were (and probably still are) at as a club.

Parky has really got Wrexham playing hasn’t he. They playing with the same passion we had in that magnificent season.

Parkinson doing Parkinson things in the cup again. Can you believe there are City fans who don’t rate him? Unbelievable.

I take your top point but, as you say, we were surprised he moved up to Swansea - many thought he’d move down the pyramid, not two leagues up. That shows he disappointed in our first team.

Fair play to the lad though, he developed well at Swansea and has fulfilled his potential, which he never looked like doing under Parky.

He was too weak and got bullied in that Rotherham game at VP by big Claude Davis et al. Men against boys it was.

Hope Mark Hughes is taking note of the passion, fight and attacking play that is going on here.

I’m surprised anybody in the tv studio can see anything after being so far up Ryan Reynolds’ arse at the start of the match.

Nice to see owners that show up and care about the club isn’t it @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler?

Rupp still battling to get through covid times?

Club goes nowhere under Rupp hope everyone understands this.

Leaders lead from the front, in modern football that includes the owner. In fact there’s no one more important imo.

    Anyone but Rupp for me.
You need an owner that is interested and if not an experienced CEO to lead the ship.
