Watching the replay and specifically Paul Mullin. His all round game is at least top end league 1, could even test himself at championship. His first touch and movement are generally far too good a level compared to his team mates. Deserves to play at a better level.

 

It’s taking John Egan to be at his best to keep him scoreless so far tonight.

 

As we've spoken about Mullin will be getting well rewarded at Wrexham, as you say his all round play suggests he could do it at a higher level.

 

Can't believe Parkinson hasn't put Elliot Lee on. Best midfielder they've got by some distance.

 

Mullin just done Egan like a kipper to get a penalty. Mullin makes it 1-1

 

Great Game this - Wrexham will be up there in our league if they get promoted this year.

 

We could do with somebody like that Sheff Utd player who scored their second goal.

They will if they keep Mullin fit. Reminds me of us in 2013, without Wells we were just another run of the mill side.

 

Notts County will give them a proper run for their money.
They’ve actually lost fewer games than Wrexham.
They are clearly the best 2 teams by a distance.

Only 1 team promoted automatically makes it even more of a nervous last few months.

 

Langstaff is Notts Countys Mullin. I think it boils down to which one keeps scoring. Very impressed with Mullin though, three times hes now he's caused Championship defenders problems. His close control and movement deserves a better stage than the national league.

 

Every team at our level would be full on gutted about missing a plum home tie with Spurs and the much needed revenue raised from gate receipts and the obvious TV interest. But not Wrexham, feeling from their fans that they can now concentrate on the league which would seem mad. But then the revenue stream isn't a problem for them, if they do go up I would expect them to strengthen massively in league 2. I don't expect them to run away with the division though, take Mullin out and they are.just another league 2 side.

 

They'll go up, I'm pretty sure of it. Experienced manager, momentum, ambitious and wealthy owners. They have all the ingredients. And unlike Salford, they have a history of being a league side, albeit some time ago.

Billy Sharpe wasn't very complimentary about them after the match

 

Sharp is and always has been a complete little shit.
Remember him running down the Midland Rd stand after scoring for Scunny, never liked him since.

 

Parky made 7 changes from the weekend team for this game, including a goalkeeper who has hardly played this season. The keeper played really well to be fair but the team selection said a lot about Wrexhams priorities. A home tie against Spurs would have been great but they seem to be totally focused on promotion after missing out last year.
Agree that Mullin looks real class, even against championship defenders.
