I don't believe some of the stuff in this thread, if opposition clubs can bring 2000+ fans why wouldn't we accommodate them, and the club get stick for being small minded.

We only press high when the likes of Pointon start, or like Jake Young did on Saturday in the first half. But then I think you should high press every week in league 2 as generally defences fall apart if someone runs at then in this division.

I've had a read over this thread, and can't argue about how shit it is to get tickets from an away fan perspective. If we lived in an ideal world and everything went to plan, then the kop wouldn't temporarily exist and the new kop stand would be about 6 months away from completion. I know all too well how hard it is to get tickets to games for us. For low allocations like Salford and Harrogate were hard to come by, and local rivals Tranmere and Slops were like gold dust.
We don't live in said world. So we have to make do as we are. We can't give any more. Rules state it has to be 10% or if not, then as close to with the safety aspect, so you're in the corner like you were for the cup game. The owners have come to an agreement in getting a temp stand whilst work behind the scenes is completed, before the building work can commence. An extra 2500 or so seats behind the goal sells out as much as the rest of the ground, so sadly we cannot offer any more tickets for you. I believe that once we have the kop, away fans will be housed behind the goal, giving a max 3k tickets. We're about 2 or 3 years away from doing that.
Anyway, back to on the field matters. 3 defeats in a row for us, with a shit performance in the cup, coupled with 2 league defeats away at Newport (with 10 men for 75 mins) and Salford, where it really was a case of asking PP wtaf was that performance. First time we have lost 2 in a row under PP. Newer fans are shitting themselves as they've not been exposed to that yet, but for me, performances have to improve regardless of the result. After the Salford debacle, we need a reaction and hopefully playing the better players like Marriott, Bolton and Fletcher instead of Dalby will get goals. Okwonkwo in goal has been very patchy, and sniffles i've heard suggest championship clubs are looking at him. Hopefully said clubs saw his performance in the cup on the tele and Saturday's corner specials will put a few off, leaving him to sign for us Defensively, I can't remember a time where we have had the same back 3 for a good run of games. Totally ruined by injury to every single 1 except for Tozer, but he has had some personal issues which clearly affected him.
As the other Wxm fan said, there isn't a pub i'd swerve. NWP like to tell fans no pubs allowed, with 1 designated in town (Ironworks) but this is a good 20 mins from the ground. Anywhere in town would be alright, including the nearer ones as the Plas Coch, Maesgwyn across the road and the Lager Club as you head into town. For parking, same as in the cup, be careful of local street parking as the council are still thinking of permit parking nearer to the ground. Train station is next door.Richnsoul, Old Grey Fox, Bantam-in-Greece and 2 others like this. -

2 of the 3 goals they conceded against Salford were from their keeper making a right bollox of 2 corners.
So as long as we have a decent set piece routine we should cause him problems…….Interested Bystander, Botswana Bantam, Onside and 1 other person like this. -
So generally yes we do bounce back after a defeat.
I agree with another comment, in that we're nothing special, away, in fact I think our away form is mid table. But at home we're a different team completely. (That's us cursed) But generally we turn up all guns blazing at home. We can start slowly and that's when away teams need to get at us and score.
Our defence cannot cope with a high press and pace running at them. Mansfield did it at their place but had no striker so didn't score. Walsall did it well at their place and beat us soundly and Salford just played like it was an FA Cup final with such intensity they stopped us completely from playing any sort of football.
I very much doubt it will be 0-0.

Marvelous isn't it? Teams like this - an others - and City bend over backwards to give them as many tickets as possible.
Fans in the Midland Road stand are kicked out of their seats, the TLDallas is opened etc etc.
What happens when we visit them?

How many away games do you go to?
Have you attended all the home cup games?

Who gives a shit about going to Wrexham. I was in the top Bracket by a good 300 points but with our form, etc I can barely be arsed getting down to VP at the moment.
You aren't going to be greeted by Deadpool whilst you are there and the ground is no different to when we have been there before when barely 4k turned up in total. We are just in the side stand now rather than behind the goal.
I have no idea what the fascination of teams in this league have with going to Wrexham, even shit clubs like Morecambe are selling their full allocation.vladimir, Onside and Kopendin1964 like this. -

Quite why you'd think home fans would like to sit in the TL Dallas and give up 'premium' seats in the Midland Road is something I can't quite get my head around.Allotment Bantam, bailiff bridge bantam and Rogered Tart like this. -
