Might as well throw Robbie Blake in the pot, waste of a shirt that lad.

WTF......Whalley complimented McCall superbly and allowed Beagrie and Lawrence free reign to attack down the flanks. Jesus wept

Whalley? As in one of the best midfielders to play for us? O’Brien was also a class act. Got a move to Newcastle and played majority of his career in the Prem. Andy Cooke, whilst not a goalscorer did so much work the season Windass scored 26 goals. Some very strange selections ...

    Sattlemaier

    Lewis Hunt
    Matthew Bates
    Jason Gavin
    Paul Tierney

Can't disagree with most of that list, but think you're perhaps harsh on Seip (did a job for us, not down in the Gavin class) and certainly on Litchfield (not behind such luminaries as Raeder and Sattelmaier.)

Some others that would be in contention for the squad, if not the subs bench: Ian Banks and Darren Treacy.

Jesus wept, I've just seen this thread.

Screech and Whalley were brilliant players for us. Unbelievable wumming, surely?

Biggest laugh for ages. If you think O' Brien is the worst centre half and Whalley the worst central midfi3ld player, you clearly know nothing about football, bizarre to say the least

John McGinley was a pretty poor signing despite his previous track record.

No excuse, I was born in 92 Whalley get's in my best 11 next to McCall and I wouldn't even bother debating with anyone over that. O'Brien would probably as well at right back although I'd take a bit more time to think about that one. I thought Andy might have just been a typo but when it got down to Whalley realised it was complete nonsense and didn't read the rest. Guessing as forwards he mentioned Wells, Windass, Blake or Mills?

Just outside the 11 would be Lee Sharpe for me. Came for the money and royally shafted us. Don't remember any significant contribution from him.

"Superkid" Gareth Grant and all Docherty's Millwall tribe must be in there somewhere.
Tit-head Torpey, Reid, Dowson, Darren Morgan, two useless wingers (forgot their names)
The only decent one was Phil Babb!

Ah the Docherty era. It t'was the worst era/team supporting City since my personal inception in '86.

Gareth Whalley? Andy O'Brien? Are you just being provocative for the sake of it? Given some of the candidates for our worst fist XI, I wouldn't even have Raffa in there.

You have those three nominations in our worst XI and yet you appear to have forgotten that the likes of Richard Liburd, David Brown, Darren Morgan, Gary Locke, Darren Treacy and Bruno Rodriguez have all graced the turf at VP.

All names of City players I'd rather forget than remember!

    All right.

What was the worst ever City XI that we actually fielded on a single match day?

Jesus Christ, that's so far away from our worst 11 it's laughable.

Andy O'Briens left testicle would have been more effective in a City shirt than Zesh Rehman.

I've never seen a physically weaker 'center half' in 35 years of watching football at all levels, and that includes the Sunday league.
