So Putin has announced the UK is Russia's no1 enemy in the world and that Russia will not forget or forgive the UK supplying weapons to kill Russians,
This is a war that has nothing to do with us but we have got involved and it may well be at a huge cost

I would think America is the leading supplier of arms to the Ukraine, not sure we can just dismiss what we've seen going on these last 5 weeks or so, as I posted many weeks ago do the Russians intervene with regards two sovereign countries like Finland and Sweden quoting they want to join NATO, just who does Putin think he is Adolf Hitler ?.

Some would argue that we have responsibilities to protect Ukraine under the Budapest Agreement.

Zelenskyy broke that agreement that was signed in 1994 when Ukraine gave up its nuclear arms with a tripartite agreement with the USA, UK and Russia that included the clause of Ukraine not seeking to join the western powers,

Not sure the yanks have supplied arms just money and intelligence, Some EU countries have supplied minor arms but the UK is the biggest supplier of military arms including 2000 anti tank missiles, and portable air defence missiles, along with 6000 general attack missiles and is now sending hundreds of armoured troop carriers with more arms on the way we are by far the biggest supplier of arms to them including reports the SAS are now in the Ukraine training troops

Well it has cost us many £Billions of pounds in war equipment sent to Ukraine, Money we apparently did not have to fund the under pressure health service or our pensioners but now can afford for weapons, Russia if it chose could attack any UK military asset it chose with little chance of response from anyone on the basis that UK weapons have killed thousands of Russian troops

Do you really think if Russia attacked us, which they won't in my opinion, that there would be no grounds for intervention from our NATO allies?

I'm not sure of your agenda in appearing to loosely defend Russia's right to invade a neighbouring country and commit shocking atrocities against thousands of innocent people.

Are you Russian by any chance?

If you read my posts you will see I am against the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and it is wrong, My posts have been to explain the reason why it happened because if you do not learn then it will be repeated, Russia had no right to invade but as said in a previous post have made an arse of it anyway, My post was asking the question of how much you allow a country to supply lethal arms that are killing thousands of your troops before hitting back, Nato is a deterrent for war but am not sure they would go to full war if it was one incident to stop us supplying its enemy, Sure there would be harsh speeches and threats but no more than that,
The sooner this war is over the less people will die and that should be the concern of everyone not prolonging it by sending arms that are killing many to one side, It is not our war and we should be neutral,
And for you and the record am not Russian but am against this war

You say the sooner the war is over the better and the less people die.

So am I right in saying you think Ukraine should just roll over and surrender then?

If Sturgeon gets her way and Scotland claim independence and we invade Scotland a few years later, should the Scottish people just roll over and surrender.

Sorry mate, if a country invades you they have every right to defend themselves and expect aid in their quest, whether that's financially or accepting military hardware.

I'm proud of Boris's stance over this as other major nations like Germany dither

The Budapest Memorandum was a multilateral (not tripartite) agreement and the copy I've read seems to be missing any reference to "Ukraine not seeking to join the western powers".

An absolute disgrace that innocent sports people are now being blatantly discriminated against based on their nationality.

What next, close the bank accounts of Russian nationals? Evict them from their homes?

This is an extremely dangerous precedent, not to mention illegal. We really are doing our best to call for WW3.

Is it illegal? I don't think it is so would be interested in how you came to that conclusion based on which laws?

The Human Rights Act makes it illegal to discriminate on a wide range of grounds including 'sex, race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, association with a national minority, property, birth or other status'.

I’m not wasting my time debating anything with someone who doesn’t look beyond the guardian for their sources of information.
