Nah. But just watched the Luton highlights, and Wood nowhere near his man for the second and third goal.

You understand these performances are probably the reason Hopkin doesn't trust him, right? Because it doesn't matter what you and I think of the situation, but there is clearly strong reasons for Hopkin to have played both Chicksen and NKP ahead of Wood in recent games.

Pretending Wood is better than he is won't get him picked.

I could maybe understand making some changes against the likes of Barnsley or Sunderland, but don't get why we'd not go with the same winning formula that had been proven to work when playing a team like Southend.

Maybe Hopkin was worried that teams might have figured out our strengths and weaknesses. But even they had it doesn't mean they could exploit it.

If anything, McGowan looks like the worst defender based off the highlights.

Chicksen gets beat twice on the extended highlights - hardly the worst culprit.

How would that evidence convince Hopkin Wood us better???

All in all, I think there are more supporters saying Wood should be included than not. Yes he can be weak, but he is inexperienced at his first senior club, playing senior football. I don't think he's done too bad, in a back four full of experienced pros, who let the team down alot more than he has

The other thing with playing NKP at left back, was that we also played without a left sided central defender. O'Connor looked so uncomfortable playing left side and his performance was woeful

Both O’Connor and McGowan look better when partnered with NKP. But hey, lets stick him at left back, that’ll work....

It's not like they aren't capable of playing well together. The burton game at home they looked a class act as a partnership and thought we'd be able to rely on them for the season. Thought the defence was going to be our strong point
this season. Shocked to how bad defensively they make us when they're both clearly a good asset when playing well but consistency is miles off.

I think there are question marks over Wood's defence when playing as a "traditional" full back, and Hopkin obviously has the same worries. For me his energy and enthusiasm is better utilised at wing back.
