We have no other target man type striker, as bad as he is?

Hopkin is direct and will want someone with a bit of a “presence” up there as Doyle is injured.

It’s just horses for causes. We have no other option if we want to play two up front and are going “direct”

 

Simple explanation is, Doyle is injured, they are a big team, Hopkin needs a win and will get it anyway possible. He's hoping Kai is going to provide the height and "fear factor" up front, so has chosen him. Nothing to do with Edin or anything else. Here's hoping Kai is going to put himself about a bit, tire their centre backs out, ready for when Payne and Ball come on.
Biggest worry for me, is that Kai is so enthusiastic, he's gonna get a yellow in the first 10 mins, thus meaning his physical approach can't continue, and he just becomes a passenger until he's taken off for Ball and the whole gameplan goes out of the window.

 

Someone is taking the piss that Kai is still at this club.

 

I agree, think playing Kai in this match is very much a horses for courses selection (not saying its right though!)

 

Would be a whole lot worse if he was starting at centre midfield.

Would agree but Wimbledon defenders will have the height the aggression and more importantly the skill and experience over him

 

Kai hasn't won a header since he's been here. He's no better target man than Miller, Doyle or Ball. The idea that he should play because he's 'big' is ridiculous.

I personally don’t like managers changing teams to match opposition as I want him to back himself and them worry about us but I think this is a needs must

 

To be fair to Bruenker, he can't be any less effective than Doyle has been for us so far this season, or perhaps I'm clutching at straws?

No conspiracy theories.
Pure and simple clear exposure of our squad strength and depth born by inadequate recruitment numbers in the summer.
To much emphasis on youth in my opinion, get used to it till January when the decision by the purse in power will ultimately decided our league one status.

 

Speaking of which, did Doyle injure his back from having to jump for the ball on a regular basis on saturday?

All this having a go at Brunker and the guy must have played all of 30 mins all season, yet is being completely written off. Unbelievable Jeff.
