Out of interest which direction did you move 80 miles. I'm asking as my family also love 80 miles away from Bradford.

to be honest, reasons or excuses are wearing a bit thin now - there's been travel distance, edin, the snow, the rain, the players, the quality of the football (it's the third tier for f*cksake), the league we are in, the opposition tactics spoiling the game.. if they want the perfect club, go follow someone else. i'm bored of excuses now. if they are only in it for when we are doing well, then just admit it - they'd get a lot more respect for it.

This is not the day to berate fans about their lack of commitment. It is not the fans who have been playing this and last season. The fans have been loyal to the club and team this season despite massive problems within the club itself. If you can do me a favour and turn down the I’m an Uber fan and you lot are a load of tossers, I would be eternally grateful.

    I will renew!

I know it seems ridiculous to some, but City is my team.

I see a number of people, friends, who l would miss if I packed in.

Also a great opportunity to meet up with family.

It is a 50+ mile round trip to each home game,............. but hey what the hell.

I think l would very rarely return to Bradford, if it wasn’t for City.

I bought a web flexi this year but I'll probably buy a season ticket for next year given the price, i'm holding off for some sort of statement about what the plan is for next year if we do get relegated to try to glean whether it will be a complete disaster or merely a new beginning.

You want to go the games do it. Don't berate others for their decisions. You'd get a lot more respect for it.

read my other post, no problem with people not going - that’s their decision but don’t use some poor excuse, be honest about it. some won’t go simply because they just don’t care.

They aren't excuses, they are reasons. Speaking for myself, i will more than likely renew, but not because of the football or because of the club. My reason is because of the time i get to share with my son on game day and the laugh we have. If he wasn't going then i certainly wouldn't. Doesn't make me any less of a fan (over thirty years for my stupidity) but i will not blindly follow something that i don't feel any connect with. We haven't lost thousands of ticket holders because of excuses, they make their decisions based on reasoning. And good for them.

sorry but i disagree - there were plenty of people, and i know some individually who said they would not step back in valley parade whilst edin rahic was still at the club. well, he's no longer at the club and they still haven't returned. for me, that was an excuse for them not to attend, but it's human nature to try and deflect from true reasons. for example, some saying that they won't travel 'x' miles, but it's the same distance (unless they've moved) they've been travelling for the last few years. if it's solely based on only wanting to support a club through good times then they should just be honest about that.

i understand your point and that is your choice to make. however, over the last 30 years there have been times like this before. let me ask, did you stop attended through the colin todd and peter taylor years through the late 2000's when we had the likes of ben muirhead, ben starosta, kyle nix, david graham, tj moncur, etc playing for us?

if we do find ourselves playing in league two next season, the less people through the door the longer we'll find ourselves back at that level. yet i'm sure if we get a good cup draw or we end up in the play-offs at some point in the next few years they'll somehow find their way back and be able to make the journey they currently find so difficult.

The game and society in general move on. People's priorities change. Right now I don't plan to renew but similar to Roger, I may change my mind for similar reasons.

I wouldn't blame a single person for not renewing. The club would only have itself to blame.

So what? We have fans who want to see us doing well, then there are those who go no matter what. It was ever thus. Berating them is ludicrous. Focus on the dilemma the club find themselves in. It isn’t the deserting fans that have caused this mess.

You say 'excuse' i say 'reason'. i ain't gonna change your mind and you certainly ain't gonna change mine. And yes i did stop attending during the Taylor and Todd. I will not blindly follow something when i don't believe in it. And i follow this rhetoric for anything i do in life. Again thats my reason, i chose it and i stick by it.
As for league two football, it just about killed my enthusiasm for football, watching players stealing a wage at that level is hard to watch. Most league two players should pay for the privilege to be called a professional football.
And i'm not one of those fans who looks back with some sort of fondness of the years spent shitkicking in the lower leagues.

Whilst people stayed away because of Edin they may have found another way to busy themselves on a Saturday I think it's @abbomf@abbomf that has been going to watch other teams locally and enjoyed themselves without the stresses of watching the team he supports that his choice but if we had gone on a cup run got a big tie why shouldn't he come back to watch it. I'm sure over the years he has invested money and time to do this. At the end of the day it's down to people's choices what they do not down to other supporters saying we'll where we're you on that Tuesday night in Luton etc etc you shouldn't be here .

I agree. I missed loads of matches, just couldn’t watch it. One year traded my season ticket for a flexi, I just found it soul destroying.

If others would only admit that they have so little going on in their lives that they have no alternative to pitching up at VP to watch an eternally poor Division 3 club , they'd get a lot more respect for it.:)

The bottom paragraph is Bradford city,it's been like that for 85 of the last hundred years.

We have a fan base of 6 to 8 thousand if it starts to it rock bottom but 40 years ago we had a fan base of 4 to 6 thousand so improvements in every area of the club in the last 30 years have brought new fans on board.

The only way of keeping a bigger fan base is a greater period of success like a forest,Leeds or Ipswich did for a time.

Bradford city is just returning to type and young bradfordians returning to support the Liverpool's and the man u's of this world ,wish it could be different but then we need a billionaire to pull this club around.

Even that season we went up the games i did attend were like chinese water torture. It amuses that some get perverse pleasure watching non league standard football every week. If that makes me a plastic i couldn't care less.

Cheers Steve, l thank Edin for me missing this season. I said l wouldn't go to VP again till he'd left, but it's a bit rich expecting me (and others) to fork out £25 a game now he's gone, good luck with that!

I've had an ST for decades even though l often blob games but l saw how things were going to go, plus my son has gone to uni, plus l do have other (more attractive) options than to watch yet another season of BCFC underachieving and going nowhere.

I love football and have been to other clubs/grounds and really enjoyed myself, I've seen City away 3 times & once at home v Oxford when l was given a ticket. That game was the worst I've seen all season! Now l had a decision to make, whether to go again or not next season, but the club made my mind up for me with the April cut off, not interested Julian, choice of guaranteed enjoyable Satdi's or a season of BCFC struggle (again)..l am not daft.
