Partly agree with you about the loss of interest in football generally, but I will purchase a ticket even if I decide not to go.

 

I've already decided not to return until I can do it properly. I'm also considering buying a season ticket to help the club even though I've no intention of attending. But then I began to think if my money would be helping the club or financing fatuous legal support for BRE, or paying off Vaughan or going into Rupp's back pocket. So now I'm not sure what I'll do.

 

Buying a season ticket won't help the club. Remember salary cap has been brought into help the club plus buying a season ticket and not going will stop someone that really wants to go this season.

So no, that wouldn't help anyone doing that!

Not buying a season ticket myself for,that exact same reason plus pre match breakfast and drinks which was the biggest part of the match day experience for me is too much hassle

Got ours, got them when the world was a different place as bizarre as that sounds. Probably try it out at the start, but can’t see me taking to it and it’s not the clubs fault just the way it is. Will probably watch most on iFollow, sat in a freezing cold silent stadium in December against some crap like Forest Green just doesn’t inspire me. So probably watch most of the games on iFollow until back end of the season when it’s warmed up, hopefully by then we’ll have lighter restrictions and maybe even be playing half decent football! Hopefully the nightmare will be all over by the summer of 2021 and we can be all back in our seats and actually be allowed to make noise and enjoy our pre and post match rituals again. If any good can come out of this it’s to appreciate life, and things that make you happy even the more trivial things.

 

The club statement includes both of these paragraphs:

"The club would be unable to guarantee any supporter any seat inside the Utilita Energy Stadium, due to social-distancing restrictions, and so would then allocate each supporter a seat from the point of purchase."

"If you have already purchased a 'City For All' season ticket, this will be honoured and you would receive the proposed, aforementioned package."

I bought my ST when they were first announced. Do those two statements mean that I'm guaranteed my usual seat this season, if and when I choose to go, or not?

It can't guarantee your seat as it can't do the same for those immediately around you...

 

I'd say when you get your season ticket for this season it will tell you which seat you have been allocated for this season for the games you can attend but don't be banking on your usual seat or even usual part of the ground
