At the minute they are hoping and approximating because it isn't in their hands. They're waiting for the others to make decisions that they can't control. It's accurate communication.

You're spending half your posts telling people of the complexity and outstanding issues with the EFL and Sky and then the other half of your posts saying that the club should give definitive answers on all issues. The two can't match up. Think.

 

Because they choose to be. Like I said yesterday, nit picking for nit pickings sake.

 

That's actually a UEFA rule that Sky as domestic rights holders have to adhere to. Im sure if they were allowed to, they would.

I've sat in the ssme seat for the last 15 years, I quite fancy trying out different seats.
I've never say in the bradford end, corner or midland Road so hopefully get to try them all this coming season

 

Originally I was very much up for getting back to VP. But as time has past I have got less and less enthusiastic for this zombie world of football. Not withstanding the ground being in central Bradford and the health dangers associated with that ?!

So its very likely a NO ! from me. I have never been so disinterested in Bradford City or its players. I want to back Stuart of course but letting this season come and go is no miss. Hopefully we will get promoted and by the time I get back this group players will have left we can start anew in 21/22.

I wont miss it in the circumstances will watch local football if its back and get a Sky Sports sub to watch a wide variety of Prem & Champ "zombie football " live. Fair play to those who want to put themselves through it but its not my idea of an enjoyable afternoon or evening out ?.

 

Got to say the thought of just sitting there and not being able to do anything is really unappealing right now.

Will try a few games out to see if the football is worthy of making the effort.

If its not I can see our actual attendances being way down around 2.5-3k maybe less.

I will buy a ST but like a few others have said whats the fun of going if you can't enjoy yourself. Pre match drinks , meals shouting at the ref, etc

 

The I follow bit isn't in city's hands at the moment. That's why they can't be any more definite about what that part entails.

 

We are all confused to some extent Fordy. There is uncertainty around things regarding our football club. This is partly because yes they aren't always the best at keeping us supporters informed but also a lot of things at the moment are not only out of their hands, they are constantly changing and will continue to do so until a reliable vaccine is available is found. These are very uncertain times.
I will go watch the games when we are allowed back, under whatever conditions are imposed on us by both the club and public health guidelines. However I know I will have to accept that things won't be the same, no cheering or singing (maybe just polite hand clapping, Happy Clappers will be okay with that!), my after match beers on North Parade will probably be out of the question. We will all have to adapt for the foreseeable future.

What is the death rate here in Bradford, 1 a week? Literally more dying on the roads.

For the first time in 55 years, its likely to be a no from me. Just like booking holidays has been this summer, there are far too many uncertainties to warrant buying a season tickets for the 5 of us. Might be Thackley for me if I crave a live fix, and they allow fans in.

@FrenchBantam no didn’t know Joe, used to spend most of my time drinking in the Wagon or Vicky park. Best part of that side of Huddersfield was the Beaumont Arms in Netherton, on a match day would be more Bradford exiles than town fans, much to the annoyance of Dave the landlord.
I’ve now moved to Lepton, still full of town fans but they breed outside of their family circle over this side of town!!

 

Buying a season ticket won't help the club. Remember salary cap has been brought into help the club plus buying a season ticket and not going will stop someone that really wants to go this season.

So no, that wouldn't help anyone doing that!

Remember this forum represents only a tiny % of the fan base the "keen" fans if you like
It bears no indication of the number considering purchasing a season ticket
Last season the crowd figures stated were based on season ticket/ flexi sales the true number in attendance would have been less than 10k Put that together with the effects of Covid and our poor (so far) transfer business and we would struggle to hit 7k
You underestimate the general malaise towards the club and the effects Covid will have on the pre and post match routine (often the most enjoyable) on our supporters

 

I think this deal (if it proceeds) is perfectly reasonable - given the circumstances.

I'm certain to give VP a try and if I don't feel comfortable I'll leave. if I enjoy it, I'll go back. Simple.

By football standards £150 is soooooo cheap. Though I appreciate some of us are having a very difficult time at present.

 

We al appreciate an update but it was badly written when less would have been more to a certain extent. They need to get this right they are staring down the barrel of about 5000 season ticket sales at most, people just wont bother, there is more to life than covid-19 face mask and social distanced footy spectating.

unfortunately not, as we saw even with Eoin Doyle we were non scoring, Ishmael Miller and DM Henry aren’t going to give much consistency out wide.
Let’s face facts, we’re a bang average L2 side and something needs to click massively to change that.
