Im not saying he was god but you have to give him credit where its due, as a battering ram centre forward he was adept in his prime. As I said, he stuck him on christensen and hanson bullied him because chelsea or not,it was a big hairy arsed lower league centre forward playing against a young kid at the time and that generally only goes one way regardless of the teams involved.

we beat them 4-2 and deservedly so that day, hanson played as big a part in that as the rest. by the end, we collectively were bullying them (see jon steads layoff for the yeates goal i think)

 

The reason was not because Hanson 'bullied' Christensen. It was because it was a great team performance with the best individual performance i've ever seen from a Bradford player in Jon Stead. Hanson was an honest hardworking lower league footballer.

 

I never said it was down to him alone. The end of my post also refers to the team effort, as we played them off the park to a man that day. Also fully agree with the Jon Stead point, what I'd give for a player up top with a bit of guile and strength like he had now. He absolutely was, and allowed the best centre forward we had since windass to excel to the level he did due to their understanding. Just irks me when people throw words like useless around because he was a hell of a lot more than that to us at the time.

 

Not sure if we relegated them but I remember us beating them 3-0 in the prem.

It took us out the bottom 3. It was either us or them that went down on the final day of the season. Wetherall and all that.
