Well Steve, you have to factor in a great night out in Glasgow plus a game in a fabulous stadium with 50k+ fans. I've really enjoyed my season but l am not paying £20/25 for City in Div3 thanks.

But...l will do so if another ST holder donates £15 to the burns unit for every ticket l buy. What's negative?

Well that's your personal choice but everybody knows the going rate if you don't have a season ticket. I can't understand why people want things cheaper when they have had ample opportunity to purchase at the cheaper price.

There are those who committed at the start of the season, of which some decided to boycott until Rahic was gone. Welcome back to the boycotters.

For those who decided not to renew...... that’s the gamble I’m afraid.

The team are playing very well and are a joy to watch. The club will make more from those wanting to see us hopefully continue the march to safety, paying £20/£25 so won’t see a need to offer discounted tickets. Also the danger of offering half price season tickets is that people may decide to wait next year to see how we’re doing at Christmas before committing.

Just discount any future games to the same rate season ticket holders pay and then nobody can complain can they?

Then you would have a similar scenario to the one put forward by Inspector. Why would anyone bother to renew or buy a season ticket for next year if they knew the price would be exactly the same if they paid match by match?

Having worked in low cost aviation all my life I can tell you that your interpretation of pricing tactics is totally incorrect.
The elements that count on any given flight is the time available to sell, the speed of sale and competitors comparisons.
On that basis we have about 48 hours to fill about 10000 unsold seats.
Reduce the prices to fill the stadium
We will not fill the stadium at current rate of sale.
That is of course supposing there is a strategy to fill every home game with paying customers.

There are 71 other EFL clubs who have thousands of empty seats for every home game. Can you explain why none of those clubs have considered your ludicrous suggestion. Yes everyone does it as a one off but not every week like you are suggesting.

I see little need to ‘discount’ tickets for each and every match.

I would endorse the return of ‘Kids for a Quid’ initiative that was around in 94/95 and was one of the reasons we started coming. Twenty four years on, then it was a great idea and I guess engaged a lot of supporters to the club.
It would have to be altered to reflect the current costs, but perhaps £15 for a package for an adult/child would make it attractive?

Two City fans that refused to go to watch City whilst ER was here went to Rochdale with me.
They really enjoyed the game, were astounded at the quality.
They'll both be there against Accrington regardless of ticket price.
Two more back on board :)

I suspect the club's strategy is to maximise matchday income.

If clubs followed your proposal, what would you charge away supporters?

(Before you answer that question, have a think about the EFL's own rules on this!)

Good news, see if you can galvanise a few more. I have some sympathy for fans who deliberately didn’t buy a season ticket, however I am sure they fully understood that it would cost them more if our fortunes returned and they wanted to come back. It most certainly will help fill the coffers. I think the club may well consider a good package for returnee fans, I think may £125 for the rest of the season, plus one child per adult?

Think the person who handles the club accounts may have a different view.

Do clubs have to register with the league at the start of the year if they are going to offer half year season tickets and the price of them? I know they have to register the price of season tickets and match day tickets but not sure about half season tickets

Not heard of that. I cannot find anything on the EFL web page https://www.efl.com/-more/governance/efl-rules--regulations/

I would assume that they could not be less ‘pro rata’ than a full season Ticket. As has been well debated, there seems no major advantage in offering a ‘half price’ half season ticket @ say £84.50. That would alienate a lot who have paid the full discounted rate and the very few who will have paid more than that.

Even then it would have to be set at a rate which did not undercut the late deal which was £230 https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2018/july/new-season-ticket-offer/

So given that there are ten home matches after Accrington, then a figure of say £120 would still be attractive (@£12 a game), but preserve the advantages of existing Season Ticket holders
