    Just fill the place with fans!

    Every empty seat at every home game is a missed revenue opportunity.

    So you’re philosophy is if there are 10000 empty seats and we sell them all for 50p to raise £5k in revenue that’s fine even if it pisses off fans who’ve committed to the club by buying a season ticket?

    Do not lecture me on season ticket holding value
    Have been a season ticket holder at VP since we moved to the area in 1989 and always prefer a full noisy stadium no matter how we go about filling it
    Just think of the low cost airlines. All they do is fill their planes and they decide how much or little they are prepared to charge.

    A bank holiday fixture usually means a higher attendance generally. Why on earth should the club lower ticket prices - they’re cheap enough as it is.

    Why don't we sell a half season ticket like a lot of clubs do, there's loads of empty seats around and I can't think of anything else better that would show a great backing for the side and raise some revenue

    What surprises me is that we haven't seen a bargain half season ticket offer to capitalise on our recent good form, fill the stadium and raise money up front to spend in the January transfer window. Seems like a no brainer to me.

    I'm with you @Brackenrigg@Brackenrigg, get a few kids in give them a similar show we have seen resently they'll want to come back, I personally don't have a problem with cheap tickets every now and then.

    There is a case for reducing prices if it is thought that a fixture will be unattractive for whatever reason, timing, opposition, poor form etc. I don't think that applies on a bank holiday, when the weather is good and when the team has just put in an outstanding performance. I think there will be plenty of people who would be willing to pay full price on Tuesday.

    New Years Day traditionally the biggest gate of the season, should be no need to entice fans. Either come and support the team or don't.
