Why is Abbott still here ?

My take on it is because Abbott does the recruitment checks he can't manage as well so Collins and Drury do that side but i believe Abbott calls the shots.

 

I suspect he has learned a lot by playing the teams he has so far.

He will have given instructions and then looked to see which players are capable of following them. Just because we don't win a game doesn't mean nothing has been learned.

Don't take my word for it ask all the poor souls who witnessed that very poor display Tuesday night, I've yet to read any poster saying it was a good run out for the lads and we learnt anything about the players on the night.

Are you taking the pi$$ ?? Are we to now expect Edin to sanction 10 quality signings in the next 3 weeks ?

 

Have we actually played the real first 11 in these games ? The answer is a big fat NO. Wait until we see the first choice team actually play before we all start shouting the odds. We haven't finished with our recruitment yet as Collins stated we are still to strengthen,and once we have then we can judge the performances. I don't think Wyke and McCarten will be here at the start of the season and maybe a couple more will be gone. There's still plenty of work to be done on the squad especially if Wyke goes , and we certainly need to tell him he's got until the end of next week to get a deal done or he's staying regardless of any later bids coming in for him.

 

We may have not played the first 11 but we've seen the lack of quality that will play when we get a few injuries/suspensions.
