Whilst Abbott isn't blameless, he can only recommend players we can afford. For all we know, he could've recommended players much better than poleon, Reeves, McCarten etc only to be shot down by Edin.

 

Is he the only remaining identity at the club?

 

A head of recruitment can only recommend players, he doesn't sign them and any recommendations have to be within the budget which he has no say over. He obviously thought we should sign Moore but it's not his fault we didn't. Also worth noting that if you're going to give him stick for bad players you have to praise him for good players like Vince when he joined, Robinson, Reeves was good at the start, Wyke, Kilgallon has done well. He's also played a massive part in bringing in Riley who could turn out to be a great player. As bad as people say some players are you can't ignore that they got us comfortably into the play offs until Christmas last season so he wasn't doing bad then.

Said before he is to blame along with those around him and should have gone long before mccall did he certainly stabbed stu in the back along the way. Personally believe he shouldn't be anywhere near the club but because he licks Edin arse he got himself a nice new 3 year contract.

 

But it was sorted out 3/4 weeks ago when Edin found out that he had been employing 2 young coaches doing exactly the job he wants the first team coach (head or otherwise) to do.
Does he really think Bradford City fans are dumb enough to believe we got lucky finding 2 coaches to step straight into the running of the club, they were hardly a success at their last coaching levels, some really need to smell the coffee.
Tuesday is the first real test against a league team, no matter what sort of team Sheffield United put out, we need to have some of today's first team starters fit and ready to play a competitive game, how do you learn anything by leaving out the likes of Reeves, Vincelot, Jones, McCarten, McGowan ETC just what does Collins expect to learn from playing kids and trialists, with little quality in the team.

 

Parky wouldn't have put up with this sort of fiasco, in fact once he heard their plan/model and he was gone.

Don't know about today but he was on the touchline at Gusieley on Tuesday night and all three looked void of ideas against our none league friends, so if Greg is taking the mentor position it says a lot for our two coaches, but does it matter as long as Edin's happy that he's pulled two rabbits out of the hat.
