Why hasn't this squad really clicked?

Put it another way
Why do we bring in player's from higher divisions who have done a good job at there Clubs
Bring players in from teams who have won promotion with other clubs
Bring in a top class Manager who has done it in his playing & managerial career
Yet when the put on a Bradford City shirt they cannot or do not want to perform
There is certainly a problem somewhere

 

I don't get the impression the players don't want to perform, the way they interacted with the traveling away support at the likes of Tranmere, Mansfield Salford etc didn't suggest hey don't care.
I believe at times they are not comfortable with the system Hughes wants them to play, at our level there is so much pressure on our defenders to play out from the back, we go so far without the opposition pressing once they do we default to passing sideways knowing eventually it will finish up back with Lewis.
As a few have commented the Carlisle co-commentators sussed our tactics out after the first 5 minutes, they let us have the ball then press when we get around the half way line, we're so predictable and I don't understand why Hughes and co can't see it.

 

Still need another 6 wins from somewhere to help secure our league status ... !!!

 

To be fair to Andy Cook and any of his doubters there have been a fair few games this season that mirror the one at Carlisle, but Cooks finishing has been the difference between us coming away with nothing or 3 points. I think as we currently stand we are a bang average side without Cooks goals.
