Are you sure? It's only missing Gilliead and he's no ball winner. Get all our skilfull players on the pitch at once and tell them to go for it. At least it would be fun to watch. You never know, it could be a revelation. We could try it at Salford where we've nothing to lose.

No! Not when most of them are old, boring and we have people there because they have nothing better to do on a Saturday due to Bradford as a City not offering much.

The only way we change the atmosphere is to increase the prices and get fans who really want to follow the club home and away(if possible).

The club is trying to be in the modern world but the lot of the fans are not keeping up with pace.

You do come out with some twaddle.
So we need to increase prices in the middle of a recession with rampant inflation. Resulting in a reduction of crowd numbers and similarly sponsorship.
And less of the offensive remarks and stereotyping of older supporters please.

I would certainly like to go 4-3-3 but feel we’re missing a decent midfield player to play in centre midfield for it to work.

Close upper sunwin and NW corner, move away fans to TL Dallas and fill 3 sides of the ground

Northampton were clinical in their finishing and brave in their set up. 4-3-3 away from home shows how confident they were. They then switched to a 5-3-2 when they scored the 2 quick goals. Having at least 2 up front is going to give you a better chance of winning and 2 strikers at home should be a minimum.

The atmosphere was terrible against Stevenage, 3-0 against second in the league. It’s also poor just before kick off, whether you like it or not there’s more to it than just scoring a goal or two.

We need to start getting back down to the hardcore of fans and build up again.

New era of fans that have passion. Not those that can hardly walk or use their voice.

To achieve this we start putting the prices up. Too many City go because they have nothing else to do in life.

So why can't the so called fit and able hardcore fans be heard now then? You don't half talk nonsense at times Fordy.

By the way, I find your comment about fans who struggle to walk very offensive

The atmosphere is flat because we're shit at home. Weird how our away atmosphere is great when we've won 6 out of the last 8 isn't it? Was it equally as buoyant when we couldn't buy a win away from home and were getting thrashed by a team of City rejects? The atmosphere is entirely a result of our performances. Some on twitter think it's the other way round.

Clapping harder isn't going to turn Gillead into a prime KDB, or even at best a L2 level midfielder. We lost the game because of a poor outnumbered midfield. Fans clapping in the stands does nothing to change that. Another problem is overrating our own players. If we saw our opposition make the mistakes we do we'd be pissing ourselves. Gilliead passing the ball backwards directly to a Crawley player then jumping on him, Smallwood beautifully threading their forward in for the first goal yesterday, Songo stepping on the ball and losing it for a good 5 seconds against Stockport. I don't think the players have the composure to play in front of a big expectant crowd.

TLDR; Home atmosphere is shit because performances are shit. Even when we go ahead at home it's flat, because everyone in the ground knows what's coming - see Swindon, Crawley, Wimbledon (FGR, Bristol last season etc). Players have no composure to play in front of a big expectant crowd.

I am getting very fed up with reading this tripe from you. So people who have difficulty walking and their money aren't welcome at our club?
Supporters who have followed City for decades and are dedicated fans are not welcome?
So is there a cut off point age wise??
People attend for all sorts of reasons. All should be welcome.

The fault for the home form lies entirely at Hughes door.

He set up with two clumsy CBs yesterday and tried to play out from the back and got caught out.

but the lone striker upfront has been a problem all season - at home. Keep tactics as they are away from home. At home we need to shake things up urgently. Only Hughes can rectify that.

we whack prices up and see how much damage it does to the club ?????? You really think a hardcore support of say 8k will bring in more money that 16k ????

the only issue at the moment is not the fans it’s not Rupp it’s a man who cannot suss out that his system simply does not work and tbh even the games we have won have papered over the cracks :( folk turn up to be entertained to actually have something to cheer but that dull as dishwater safe football ain’t gonna get people up for it .................

Maybe it's because 18666 turned up and not 18667. We just needed that extra single person and we would have smashed them.

Come on Fordy, you're better than that. Lets cut out the abusive stuff, there will be a fair few fans both young and old who struggle with their mobility.

I would try a 4-1-3-2 which gives us a defending midfielder, 3 holding/attacking midfielders and 2 up front
    Lewis
    Halliday. Platt. Chrichlow. Foulds
    Smallwood
    Banks. Walker. Wright
