@wetherbywhaler , hi Roger. I agree there have been worse times on the pitch. However, the past owners were local businessmen, generally restricted due to their limited means, but had an active interest in affairs and made themselves available to the fans.

In addtion, we had managers who generally attempted to connect with the fans and displayed some degree of humility.

So, the fare on the pitch may have been worse at times, but this disconnect has never been greater. Even in the Rahic era, the fans could associate with Stuart who, at least showed some passion for the club and fans.

 

As regular contributors on here will be only too aware, I'm done until Adams has GONE.

The longer he stays, the more likely it is I'll have completely got out of the habit and never return.

I respect everyone's views on this site and will use it as my only connection with the club.

To anyone who thinks I'm a "Johnny come lately" fan, I must have clocked up well over a thousand games. That gives an indication of how I view the state of affairs at the club and our PR disaster of a manager.

 

I am not going as I have Covid. If I could go, I would be there. Regardless of what is happening off the pitch, or the manager, they are our team and are wearing our colours.

We have seen this season, albeit on only a few occasions, that this team can perform well. I don't think any of them run on to the pitch intending to make mistakes or do badly. I think the players deserve support, even if the tactics are poor, especially if things are not going well. Otherwise, what are supporters for? All supporters everywhere would end up watching Liverpool or Manchester City and not much else if you only supported teams that won every week.

By all means let Adams, the owner and Ryan Sparks know what you think, but don't take it out on the players. This might not be a popular view, but it's what I think.

Bang on @King Cole, no other owner in my lifetime has had the financial clout that Rupp has he could use to turn our club around, I get that he's not a football man and its not a prerequisite to know the in's and out's of football to own a football club but I'd say it certainly helps to understand its very different to other businesses, fans are far more than paying customers.

Your Rahic comment made me smile, even though fans were being told what Rahic was doing to our club many didn't believe it and still backed him, funny old game as they say.

 

I think there are much more pressing issues at Bradford City than the players kneeling down for five seconds before the game starts. I think the rolling over we tend to do for the subsequent 90 minutes is a much greater concern.

 

Your dad sitting out tonight IB? Fall certainly seems to have shook him up... He's a right fighter and always check in on him.

For the record, my lad and I are there. As I've said before, football is our time together.

This is the worst state we’ve been in as a club in terms of ownership, management and playing personnel during my lifetime and I’ve completely lost the enjoyment factor of visiting VP.

I want Rupp, Sparks and Adams gone.

 

You must be quite young then. Us old ones have sat through far worse.

 

Give it another year or two of Rupp and we won't be far off those times again.

I did think of not bothering but at the end of the day we all get suckered in, it’s like a drug, imagine if I didn’t watch and tonight was the night it clicked, Stevenage take 2.
Know it won’t be but live in perpetual hope with a massive dose of FOMO.

 

I have voted not attending ,but will still be watching a Bradford City team, just not the first team. Will travel to Altrincham and watch the under 19's.
