Toss up between AOC, Wood and ROD. All three reacted unbelievably considering last season.

Pritchard has gone under the radar for me. 6 assists and 3 goals is a fine effort from midfield. Swapping him with Scannell who scored and created next to nothing was a shrewd bit of business from Bowyer.

Echoing thoughts above, toss up between A. O'Connor, O'Donnell and Wood. Chose A O'C , letting his football speak for him. Understand some will find it hard to overlook his issues last year though.
O'Donnell started last year well then had his form plummet, probably due to a sore back but now back to his best.
Wood has done really well to put his poor performances behind him from last season, easily the most improved player. Credit due to Bowyer for having faith in him and Wood repaying that faith. Good man management thereRocket, Rogered Tart and Bronco like this. -

I'll go with Anthony O'connor. Very consistent and the best of a solid back line.

After 23 games and only 19 goals conceded it has to be a defender, Anthony O'Connor who has been pretty consistent throughout the first half of the season shades it for me.

Not many candidates tbh. Even under the dinosaur that was David Hopkin the quality players at our disposal like Lewis O'Brien, Caddis and Payne pre January stood out. There are a few in the current squad who on paper should stand out like a sore thumb but don’t.
I’ll go with Anthony O’Connor. Been our most consistent player this season.Rogered Tart likes this. -

Anthony O'Connor by a distance for me. Been impresed with Wood too and would be my runner-up at this stage

AOC but highlights how poor we're at attacking when Wood would be second for me then the keeper 3rd then BR Everton 4th.

He runs about and passes ways.
Look, we say we're poor at attacking. Has Reeves improved that? NO! Why? Because he gets the ball and passes sideways.

AOC for me. Once Paudie learns how to play alongside AOC then we could have the best centre back pairing in the league which is a vital ingredient in any team aspiring for promotion.

No surprise to see City fans picking a defender.
Every year almost without fail.
I choose Vaughan.
He's third top scorer in the division, gets no service, yet works tirelessly.
Narrowly missed a few screamers, but easily our best attacking player.TallinnBantam likes this. -
Agree with rationale for defence (good) and Vaughan (works hard with little service).
I've voted O'Donnell, who I feel is a strong, vocally encouraging, keeper for the team and seems to be getting better and better (not been challenged that much last few games though).JonButterfield likes this.
