Toss up between AOC, Wood and ROD. All three reacted unbelievably considering last season.

I'll go with Anthony O'connor. Very consistent and the best of a solid back line.

Echoing thoughts above, toss up between A. O'Connor, O'Donnell and Wood. Chose A O'C , letting his football speak for him. Understand some will find it hard to overlook his issues last year though.
O'Donnell started last year well then had his form plummet, probably due to a sore back but now back to his best.
Wood has done really well to put his poor performances behind him from last season, easily the most improved player. Credit due to Bowyer for having faith in him and Wood repaying that faith. Good man management there

Not many candidates tbh. Even under the dinosaur that was David Hopkin the quality players at our disposal like Lewis O'Brien, Caddis and Payne pre January stood out. There are a few in the current squad who on paper should stand out like a sore thumb but don’t.

I’ll go with Anthony O’Connor. Been our most consistent player this season.

A few weeks ago I would have gone for Wood - much improved, poses a real threat going forward, some great last-minute blocks & the best crosser we have imho. That said, he's faded a bit in the last few weeks - I thought the recent formation would allow him to get forward more, but it doesnt seem to be happening. Has to be A O'Connor for me (although he needs to work better with Paudie)

Even though the football has not been too good I agree with you, when Bowyer took over both on and off the pitch our club was a basket case, we need to get a bit of perspective how far we've come in less than 12 months.
If as we all hope Bowyer can deliver a promotion he could not have done more.

After 23 games and only 19 goals conceded it has to be a defender, Anthony O'Connor who has been pretty consistent throughout the first half of the season shades it for me.

Anthony O'Connor by a distance for me. Been impresed with Wood too and would be my runner-up at this stage

If Reeves were fit to start the season i'll bet he'd be winning this hands down.

Ha could well have been the case. Straight away from the Rochdale cup game he looks like he's never been away. Kills the myth you need time to get back up to speed. Shows how average our other midfielders are.

AOC but highlights how poor we're at attacking when Wood would be second for me then the keeper 3rd then BR Everton 4th.

Yeah but he said busy and sponsors don't study the game that well.

He runs about and passes ways.

Look, we say we're poor at attacking. Has Reeves improved that? NO! Why? Because he gets the ball and passes sideways.

    He's as negative as Bowyer
