I saw this in the Width of a Post article (16th paragraph), 'With Rahic reportedly a regular at training sessions...'. https://widthofapost.com/2018/08/26/give-us-something-to-believe-in/

Given that he has three coaches, Collins, Drury and Abbott, why does he need to be a 'regular at training sessions'?

Added to that, James Mason has left City and as far as I can see there is no tangible plan to replace him.

As the other members of staff have also left, then who is actually running the 'day to day' side of the business.

We know Mick Lamb is in the Ticket Office, but there must be a heck of a lot of none team related matters which need attending to.

I am sure I have been told that his wife works for the club. What does she actually do?

    Anyone any ideas.

    Does anyone really care?

The back office is the back office, it’s on the pitch supporters should be more bothered about.

If the owner is spending significant time at the training ground, giving everyone the benefit of his football knowledge, then, there is a lot to sort out. My sense of the place, is that a lot of people have left and that they have not been replaced.
If the foundations and support structure is not in place, then it will all deteriorate. For sure I agree 'it’s on the pitch supporters should be more bothered about', but actually effectively running the club is also a vital part of the total operation. Frankly I would rather that the owner, as the other seems to be a 'sleeping partner', concentrated on that side of the business, rather than incessantly giving the players and the coaching staff, the benefit of his football knowledge.

Judging by the comments here and elsewhere, it would appear that rather a lot of us do care, and yes, while on-field matters might be more our concern the way the rest of the organisation is run does still affect us -- decent catering, proper and properly-equipped loos, a ticketing website that is fit for purpose, and so on. An owner should be busy enough with all the off-field business, and in most cases would be better off letting his manager / coaches / director of football worry about the rest.

I must say the few occasions I have been down to training, Edin has always been there, sometimes with his young son. He doesn't say anything, rather he just sits and watches. Either way I don't really see the need for him to be there and can imagine it of putting for the manager and players.

I have had a bit of dealing commercially with the club over the last couple of years and I can assure you nobody is running anything behind the scenes, at present it is virtually impossible to get an answer to even the simplest of questions.........

To be fair to Edin when I have seen him at Rawdon Meadows he has not been more than a spectator watching the players go through their training sessions, I have never seen him pull anyone on the footballing side over and had a word.
Yes you are correct his wife is on the Bradford City pay role.

While I don't have a problem with him being down there on the odd occasion if he's there a lot then he's not doing the job he actually needs to do so it's an inefficient use of the clubs resources.

I would have thought at the moment all his time would be spent running the none football side of the club, no CCO and as @BingleyBantam@BingleyBantam many other vacant positions.

I have been once to a training session in all the years of supporting them, and Edin turned up, just watching. I don’t have a problem with that as long as it just occasionally, but if he is always there, that could be a problem for the players and the coaches.

Looking at the comments of @bantam2708@bantam2708 about him always being there when he visits Rawdon Meadows and @Claret Fish@Claret Fish who has commercial dealings with the club, yet feels nobody is running things behind the scenes, then my fear that he is preoccupied with the players/coach/team rather than running the club, is very worrying. I am sure the football side is precious to him, but perhaps it something he should not dabble in, but delegate and focus on running other areas of the club, especially as he seems to be adding roles/responsibilities given the loss of people like Mason.

And yet when results don't go our way and performances are poor any concerns that are voiced are met with your accusations of being racist.
