Who Is A Realistic Candidate For The Job

And who's going to take the job on £30K ?

 

It's obviously just a massive coincidence, but that salary is nearly identical to that of a common or garden PE teacher.

NKP's obviously been sent to daily detention and headmaster Edin's given him the talk about 'letting the team down, letting the school down....but most of all letting yourself down.'

 

I hope if we do (and i'm not convinced we will) sack MK that the club/ER has already done the spade work with regards to a new manager.

Otherwise, a new poll will be needed along the lines of

What will come first?

a new City manager

Imagine a City team being managed by Abbott, as we look for a new manager. You just wouldn't believe it, would you??

Bellamy for me, I wanted us to go for him when Grayson came in. every time I see him on the tv he talks sense and is used to working with kids, would instantly command respect and I doubt would put up with players slacking. Only stumbling block as everyone has said would he work with Edin!!!!!!!

 

Makes me think he knew what was coming and wisely got out before it did. Probably listens to the radio every Saturday, gets a little peed off about the result. Then sighs a huge sigh of relief, pours himself a drink and thinks 'Thank everything that is holy that this shambles has absolutely and categorically nothing to do with me'.

 

I bet at the same time, hes as frustrated about City as you and I are.

 

I don't think it's the working with Edin that's the problem. There's got to be lots of owners of clubs across the 4 divisions that fancy themselves as an unrecognised Sir Alex Ferguson.

They'll talk to the manager and players about formations, strategies and who should play where et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. The managers and players will agree, nod and smile, it's probably a dance that happens every week in some clubs.

Owners like the above will leave it at that. They won't be asking the manager why they didn't play the formation he mentioned or why did player x play in position y rather than player z? Or if they do, it won't be taken seriously or impinge upon the team. They'll let the manager, coach or player do the job they were employed to do and if results aren't good enough they'll fire them and get another one.

Rahic has set himself up as the club's director of football in everything but name. He's not content with working quietly behind the scenes trying to ensure that the coaches and players have everything they need to do a good job. He's crossed that invisible line that separates the playing and administrative staff.

If he'd employed somebody with even a bit of experience as a coach or manager, but remained in the background. Then he could have fired them without losing face, it was their choices and decisions that lead to the substandard performances and results. I think Collins is still in the job because Rahic can't sack him without people saying "I told you so". Rahic's ego couldn't handle that.

He'd rather Bradford City were in the non league than admit that he doesn't know football. I can hear him now saying it's a long term strategy, sometimes you have to take some steps back in order to move forward and other platitudes. He doesn't care about Bradford City, it could have been any club. City just happen to be the vehicle.

Ultimately, it's all about Edin.

 

Not having a go at the OP however the question is irrelevant as the problem st our club is in the boardroom. Unless Edin changes his approach to running the club nothing else matters, close thread.

 

Boy, I'd love an average squad kept afloat in this league right now never mind the championship. Captain Clueless is taking us down down deeper down

There are people out there with influence who care about Bradford City, they might not be in a position to put their own money in or even have any money, but they care. Our current hope is that these people are talking to each other and trying to find financial backing to make a takeover happen by going straight to Rupp.

I'm afraid to say that if this goes on longer, Rahic is going to need to build himself a fall out shelter. Lawn got his car scratched at Accrington when we were on a bad run but not desperate, it won't be long before Rahic gets his trashed the way bad feeling is building up. That's not a threat by the way, just an observation that we have some real nutters (ex Ointment etc) out there (I'm NOT one) and it won't be long before some of these nutters flip and god help him when they do.

 

I wanted Bellamy then too but now things are different, he has a reputation to lose and he's had offers already, he'll be waiting for the right one, Edin's BCFC? Nah!

Someone like Jamie Lawrence would take it, I'm sure, even for peanuts, he has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

 

Dark web, was just reading about this yesterday, £3k. £4.5k for proper do sniper, £7k to make it look like an accident.

 

Lawrence wouldn't touch it with a barge pole while Rahic is in place

no one wanted the job in the summer, things are worse now than they were then. No one will touch us while Edin is running the show.
that's why we ended up with Collins in the first place.

 

Flynny getting some very good praise in the Daily Mail this morning on the very good job he is doing down at Newport. Doubt he would leave his home town club for us though

 

He's another with a reputation to lose so he wouldn't come. Wouldn't surprise me if he got a decent offer this season, he done well with them results wise AND made money, what chairman doesn't like that? Its going to be an old pro on his last job, or, somebody just plain desperate for a chance. Either way, what have they got to work with? FA.
