    He was never the player we were missing, if it wasn't for the latest fashionable saying about brexit tackles he would have been shit from the get go. He misses And always has done in his time here if say 60% of his tackles. He flies into them without a clue of what he's doing. There is a reason he was playing in the desert leagues.

    As for the rest Seedorf won't be coming back and I'd ship Wright, Reeves, Gibson, McGowan, Chicksen(won't happen) Brüenker permanently if there is anyone stupid enough to take them. And send Riley and Isherwood out on loan.

    I've not been taken by Karl Henry since he arrived either, his legs look to have gone and seems to have hidden in most minutes he's played. Would be interesting to see if our new number 2 can get him as fit as last season in the next couple of weeks.

    Edin went £1m+ over the agreed budget. That's why we have the biggest budget in 15 years. We've got nearly 50 players on the books and the majority are not fit for the first team.

    Stefan is plugging that so that we don't run out of cash before the end of the season. He's not providing a new windfall of cash to go out and buy players.

    So don't expect any large fee signings.

    I was just describing him as our "saviour" because that's what some (happyclappers) were saying was the reason we were losing week in week out. I also have never rated him. Always looked to be a yellow/red card waiting to happen, and seemed to get dragged out of position a lot. Loved a hoof too. Who was that other shocker we had last season - might also have been from down under, People calling him to be picked, and when he did get an outing, he was worse than George Weah's cousin, and was promptly never seen again. Just remembered his name - Lachlan Barr. Went on loan to Harrogate, got one game then joined Aussie semi pro team Metrostars and got player of the season. Think he's found his level, and wouldnt be suprised to see McGowan joining him soon.

    I make it 44 on the team page https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/teams/first-team/

    We also have Hanson at Halifax, McCartan at Lincoln and Patrick at Yeovil, so 47 (unless I have missed someone).

    My personal view is that we need a first team squad of about 25 players, and then a further 11 Under 23’s, who should be pressing for a place. A total of 36 players with enough quality to push on up this division wshould suffice. Too many players and then you need more backroom staff.

    Saving say 11 players salary, would make a lot of sense, however I guess many will wait until their contracts expire, as not many of them are going to attract a better salary elsewhere.

    You could have a squad of around 40 if you don't count teenagers and new pros as U23's - but ultimately, if Goldthorp and Reece Staunton are the most promising players in our 'development squad', then what is the point of signing players from elsewhere like Clare, Isherwood, Hawkes and Gibson?

    We don't need more than Wood, Colville and Riley from elsewhere; the rest should be local lads IMO, particularly when they appear to have more potential than most of the others.
