You really didn't need to waste your time writing all that pretending that it's a really strange and confusing conundrum.

The fact is that regardless of height or the mysterious and unexplainable "presence" he's just not good enough for league football and that's why he's not getting a game. Simple really.

The point of Kai is that is shows whoever 'spotted' him and sanctioned his signing knows very little about the level required for league one football in this country. There is a common theme right through the club at present of having too many staff, whether playing, coaching or otherwise, that are completely out of their depth. It's not a direct dig at the player, the concern is with whoever thinks they are good enough and decided to take the punt. You can see the same with our obviously threadbare and inexperienced squad, outwith the few decent signings we have. Once we lose some of them to injury, supension, dip in form, we are in even deeper shit than we are now.

See if we can pay Silsden to take him off our hands. They may already have better players though.

A couple of injuries and he's first choice. Let that sink in.

When he made his debut I thought that he was so far out of his depth that I never expected to see him again. However, to give him his dues, he did improve with game time and towards the end of the season he performed a useful role albeit in what was admittedly a woefully underperforming team.

I can see why we kept him, his size means that he offers something different to all of our other strikers and although he is still someway short of the standard required at this level, the improvement he showed last season give hope that he can develop further (and remember, he was signed for the dev squad).

The catch 22 we have at the moment is that he's not going to get any better sitting on the bench, there's no way that he's going to dislodge Doyle as either a lone striker or the focal point of a front 3 so his chances of coming on are likely limited to when we have a front 2 which seems very much to be Collins' plan B. Miller is obviously the current preferred option as a 2nd central striker in a front two so really the only way I can see Kai getting any game time is if we start with a front 2 and he comes on as sub to replace Miller or if Doyle gets an injury. I suspect that he will be more likely to get on the field when the surfaces start to deteriorate over winter and a more direct style of play is called for.

He tries, so I'll get behind him but I watch him with hope rather than expectation, a bit like it used to be when relying on Barry Conlon to get a goal.

Well, he got on today and did the grand sum of feckall. But he looked good doing it, like a younger day Patrick Swayze.

It’s because no scout in the world is going to recommend Brunker. The fact he isn’t just awful or obscure but is in fact also German tells you he didn’t come here on a genuine recommendation.

The only Grade A Ding-Dong silly enough to rate him must be the worst judge of a footballer I have ever encountered: Edin Rahic.

I've been out and haven't been able to respond until now, but as expected most of you are missing the point of the thread completely. It isn't about whether Bruenker is good, bad or indifferent. It's about what is the point having him on the bench if you aren't ever going to play him, be it because he's not good enough or because MC doesn't want to play with a target man. I suppose after yesterdays match it's a bit of a redundant question now, although it sounds like he wasn't any worse than the rest, and at least had the decency to acknowledge the travelling fans after the match.

You asked why he's not getting game time from the bench and you've been told-- he's not good enough. There's no point asking a question if you don't want to hear the answer.

As in all walks of life, if there's no real direction, leadership or management in an organisation, then people become disengaged. Think we're already seeing that.

There is absolutely no point to Bruenker whatsoever. Question answered lock thread, a player that shit doesn't deserve his own thread
