Spotted a couple of initiatives from other clubs.

If our owners are looking at trying to reconnect with fans (turn them back into Supporters) then they need to carry on in the mould of Saturday’s £1 for a game offer, which I assume is a Julian Rhodes idea.

Here are what some other clubs are doing:-

Oxford United. Advertised as ‘The perfect Christmas present for Oxford United fans’, a Half Season Ticket deal. https://www.oufc.co.uk/news/2018/november/half-season-tickets/ Perhaps only a few would take it up this year, but nevertheless a decent idea.

Accrington Stanley. https://accringtonstanley.co.uk/2018/11/stanley-shirt-giveaway/ More than 1,200 Accrington Stanley shirts have been given away to local primary school children at the Wham Stadium. The entire Reds squad were there to meet the Year Three pupils as they arrived, and hand them an official home shirt in the McMurrays Haulage and Bowland Brewery FanZone. Catch them young and then you can have fans for life.

We started coming when it was the old kids for a quid Richmond scheme. Twenty four seasons on and twenty as season ticket holders, demonstrate that this was a sound idea.

Any other ideas? Any other initiatives you are aware of?

We know Roger contributes to this site (@wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler) and I am fairly certain he would feedback to Julian Rhodes.

Half season ticket? Perfect ‘gift’ for my 2 naughty kids - they’ve been told they are getting a bag of coal each for Xmas, this should really piss them off.

I Spoke to JM before regarding the half season tickets idea, he pretty much said they have the flexi-card option which they should just purchase.

Perhaps if the club look into it and do a better deal it may work?

The club should focus on local primary schools like they once did back in the early 2000's. perhaps look at different villages? Bit further away such as Silsden, Steeton, Eastburn, Kildwick etc? Rather than strictly just the immediate Bradford area.

I don't know what the Junior Bantam thing entails but perhaps they could use this and go into Schools with it? Offer a parent a cheaper deal for one season only. If they enjoy it, they'll pay the early bird price the season after

With tickets as cheap as they are, would a half year deal work?

    Good point, probably not.

They'd be best advertising the flexi card detail again most likely

I think we could probably go back the school route if attendances are dropping. Space for around 20-30 kids a home game and they can have a game on pitch at half time

    Sounds good.

Personally think they should just try get attendances back up regardless of what method. Keep losing supporters, its just going to continue to go down hill.

A win on Saturday could be a big turning point considering where both teams are. But no doubt we will some how screw it up lol

No reason why not if they were reasonably priced.

Perhaps not this season, but with Christmas coming up and if we were to get a ‘massive’ club in the FA Cup third round at home, then with season ticket holders guaranteed a seat, then why not!

    Perhaps £100 for an adult, £90 a concession/student, £60 a junior and £10 an under 11.

With the way our results are going ............. We couldn't 'give away' tickets, right now.
ONLY 2,000 (apparently) have taken the £1 ticket deal against Oxford .......... I suspect more than half are not City fans.

Alternatively .............. 4 X 50 free tickets each to four schools - who each send out a five player team for a 'penalty shoot out', with the Winners awarded an official BCAFC certificate for their efforts. Cheap and doable. :)

Here's another one ....... Buy more than one ticket, and gain a 'voucher' for a free HT Bovril per ticket ........... Well appreciated in these increasingly cold climes ;)

    #verycreativeinacoldclimate ;)

If they offered a parent and child deal, for a few targeted games, say £5 a match, then providing something for families could work.

    Why stop there ?

    Why not £80 an adult, £60 concession/student, £30 junior ? (with only 12 games left !)

I've said in the past ....... Passenger Air lines offer rock bottom prices just to fill seats. Without very low prices, you are still lumbered with empty seats. ;)

What is not clear, is does this figure include the Oxford fans, who are also eligible for the £1 entry?
