NOT quite in agreement with all that. With our contracted players, we're already on a sticky slope. It depends upon what the board set as a remit, in terms of next season. Safe 'mid table' and stabilise ? Perhaps so .......... Because this Club of ours cannot start really rebuilding for about another 15 months (Players wise).

 

Whoever we get it seems to me if he does "save us" from the drop and motivates the players to new heights he will have to do it all again next season as we'll no doubt have a new squad.

At least he'll be able to bring his own players in.

Our budget will determine the quality of any such players. And NO. I doubt we will have a 'new squad', but hopefully an improved one.

It all goes back to what the club wants. Parky is a good manager but his style of play is questionable.

If we want that style of play then we will have to continue with it for the next 5-10 years.

Firstly I'd suggest the club want a manager who can give us a chance of staying in league one, no matter what type of football is on show, so I disagree with your style of play comment.
What happends after that is down to what amount of season tickets we sell which will give Stefan a good idea of what sort of transfer budget our next manager gets.

 

i kind of agree.. imagine if social media and forums were around when we signed some of the players we have in the past!

i don’t like steve evans personally, but he may do a job until the end of the season, keep us up and then we can re-evaluate in may, either way.

he committed his misdemeanour, was punished, ‘served his time’ and has moved on. has he been in trouble with the fa since that incident? if not, maybe he’s learnt his lesson.

those people who don’t want to consider evans are the same who want robinson back in the squad without end to that investigation.

 

The new manager needs to be someone who can make the current players better in the 11 games left after Portsmouth.
No point in giving it to Drury because whatever coaching he has done with the first team squad they continue to make basic defensive mistakes and rarely look like scoring from corners or free kicks.

 

The club, Rhodes, Rupp @wetherbywhaler need to take back control of this club.

100% agree. Even if we win on Saturday then Drury for me wouldn't get the job.
