League One MD Two doesn't require major investment to be successful.

The difference between Rupp and L+R is that if investment is needed in the Championship, Rupp has the money to put some in.

    Until then, it's wasting resources.

I do think we've had genuine owners who wanted the best for us but unfortunately very few had the money to chase their dreams and that certainly goes for Big Geoff, without the Rhodes family investment not sure we would have got the the Premiership, but that's another story.

Only because we've had negative owners that don't want to build an infrastructure for the club.

Bradford City a club for the boys!!

Fans need to wake up to this and demand more.. demand better!

No I wouldn't because no body saw the Admins coming and hindsight is always a bit pointless in my book, foresight and planning for what ifs are more my scene. I contributed to that philosophy in my business career and it largely worked. I know football can be and usually is different but only due to people running it throwing sound practice out the window when they see a football pitch. Our last Chairman being a good example together with Geoffrey and his famous madness period.

We don't know if others are not interested.

And if Mr Rupp isn't willing to invest more then questions need to be asked of him and his credibility.

He's a nice bloke but what's the point in owning the club if he doesn't want to take it forward?

Top post @Faithful Bantam@Faithful Bantam, I'm with you how could a successful business man be conned by the likes of Rahic and because of his ignorance with regards football not get involved as to why basically his club was performing so badly last season that it had to take Bradford City fans to make him aware of the situation at Valley Parade.

The money that GR and the Rhodes family invested time get us into the PL wasn’t really a gamble on the clubs future but more of their own personal wealth. Had we not gone up, they’d have lost money on big transfer fees without risking the club as a whole.
GR took the risks to another level when he rebuilt the stadium and committed to those silly salaries on long contracts.
I don’t want to see that ever happen again but I do want the current owner or any new owner to do what GR did and commit some of their own money.

    I agree with you.

What Rahic said he wanted to do was admirable. But implementation of the plan was appalling with no network in place to identify this talent; no proper coaching regime; no involvement with the development leagues to give the talent game time against their peers. Or if you like, trying to do everything on the cheap.

Without proper investment, it was a good plan but destined to fail.

I' m sure he's doing his best. I feel for him really.

The mindset of the club is wrong. He will understand this.

Unlike you not to take a great offer like that up to help give your expertise to the club.

He did have one very radical idea re development though, and had the balls to try it on at least one PL club **so funny

Exactly Fordy. Maybe he doesn't actually want to sell and the £10M valuation is to potential buyers off.

The last time Doyle was as prolific as this was when he was on loan at Oldham when he scored 17 in 32/34 appearances. Both spells under the same manager who obviously knows how to use him. I should imagine he has missed chances at Swindon but I don't really remember him missing a boat load of chances here, he was having to do a lot of work outside the box due to the way we used him.

£15 million? That wouldn't even buy us a top centre forward in the championship!
