Might as well send the season ticket back and call it day.

I thought this was a fans forum of supporters of the club!!!

All I ever read on here is crap about poor management, lack of ambition. We are a basement club with has been and never will be players, you get what you pay for. You need to build a team, remember Parky taking a couple of seasons.

I remember in my youth when I had the choice of watching Man U, Leeds or City. I wanted to support a local club, all my mates were Leeds fans, but all they ever did was moan about the team, even when they won.

Having played football for a City supporters club and watching games home and away, playing games against away supporters, we used to have a laugh win or lose. A much more enjoyable atmosphere than the constant moaning.

if your not enjoying what’s dished up call it a draw and watch a more sexy team with loads of money and ambition.

We had a couple of glory years in a league we couldn’t afford. Then an almighty fall down the league.

Me personally, missing the away games, a good weekend away spoilt by football.

That’s something to moan about no live football and a few beers with nights out in different towns.

The past week has shown if our midfield is allowed time and space, they're good enough to beat the opposition.

We had no issues with either Southend or Tonbridge.

The problem is, we're not often afforded that kind of time and space, and aside from FGR, haven't deserved to beat anyone outside the bottom three/four. Everybody points to needing a midfield hardman - someone who could win battles and give our creative midfielders more of the ball in more space. We haven't got that, and when we've been pressed by the opposition, we've been giving the ball away at an alarming rate in some games.

That hasn't been addressed; nor has the obvious, glaring issue up front. The striker situation isn't good enough, and never was. I'm not anticipating that we've turned the corner, but I'm very confident that we beat inferior sides. This doesn't feel like a side that's going to be slipping on banana skins any time soon.

Wise words mate, football's mirrors life, ups and downs, having a beer or two to celebrate or drown your sorrows, talking it over (sometimes with fans of the opposition) and moving on to the next game. Or call it a day and start following Beeston United or the dog botherers.

We all feel the pain of recent performances, so when unexpectedly we witness a glimmer of hope, we deserve to indulge.

The problem is that people swing from euphoria to despair.

It is a usual trait for people to be hyper critical. Go on websites like Sainsbury’s groceries (where they let people rate a product, unlike a lot of other supermarket chains) and the reviews often include negative responses.

Personally I thoroughly enjoyed the two games the OP referred to, however to try and suggest that there had been a ‘seismic’ positive change, seems very premature, to say the very least.

Personally I want better football ‘dished up’ by my team, on a consistent basis.

I want my team to achieve success. I find it hard when clubs like Accrington, Rochdale, Crewe, Lincoln, Peterborough, Gillingham, Northampton, Wimbledon and Burton are playing at a higher level. I don’t know all their individual circumstances, but I would be very surprised if they all had ‘loads of money’.

What I have, is ambition. I hope to see my club reaching the Championship again. I don’t think that is an unreasonable aim.

Some of the criticism is in my mind ‘over the top’, however if my club underperforms, then I feel that I have the right to say so.

A club like Bradford City, should not be in the bottom half of the fourth tier of English Football.

Surely we have the right to question the current situation, rather than just accept it. You say ‘We are a basement club with has been and never will be players, you get what you pay for’. Well sorry but I want more. Given that the EFL has introduced a salary cap and restrictions on the squad size, then clubs are on a more equal footing and I expect better than what we have so far produced.

Well you’re a little ray of sunshine! If I’m not enjoying what’s dished up by my club I’m allowed to voice my concerns thanks very much, and let’s face it it has been pretty dire.

You might be happy watching rubbish and lamenting the social side, you’ve probably been too pissed to remember the games.

Ambition is something to be proud of, we deserve better our supporters have been badly let down by false promises and poor choices by the club.

I like your like-minded attitude mate.

Most people on here just come to bitch and moan regardless.

Why is the default response to not accepting everything as rosy to 'go support another team?' No thanks, City are my team. But the wins v Southend and Tonbridge were only our sixth and seventh respectively of 2020 - and against a club in freefall and a poor NLS side. Hardly a ringing endorsement.

@Bigrod@Bigrod is right. I want my team to win. I want my team to win consistently. I want my team in the Championship. There's nothing wrong with that and constructive criticism of the club is appropriate and warranted after the last few years.

as we all do, but when it become toxic that when its time to stop. We all know the limit of the club in the current set-up. when people get shot down for being giddy over a 3-0 and a 7-0 win thats when its too much. we are in a long period of growth how long did it take for teams that @Bigrod@Bigrod himself mentioned to become where there are now? it wasnt fans bleating on about how they beat a southend team 3-0 or beating a NLS side 7-0 that got them to where they are today. it was time.

We all deep down want us to be much higher up the pyramid and most would acknowledge we have been going backwards. But certainly our performance in the FA Cup was a single step in the right direction and had to be welcomed. Application is one thing but coming second best and being miserable to watch is what really irks. Time can also be the enemy.

Is it toxic? Or is it the demand for better? Nobody is taking away the 3-0 or 7-0 wins but context is needed.

i think what we have on our hands is a confidence team. all good when its going well but when things are tough the heads go down and our lack of experience and composure is found out.

Yep, Brackenrigg. People do get baited by it but there's nothing wrong with it, it stirs up debate. Starting a thread with a polarized view - in this case extremely positive based on a couple of results against poor teams - is always going to get a reaction.

The two recent wins have been a confidence booster to a team where the form has been so poor that some fans actually thought Tonbridge and Southend could end up in defeat. The real test comes in the next 4 games as our wins so far have come against teams not currently above 21st in the table. One thing the two wins has shown its imperative to actually send out your best eleven each week rather than chop and change every week. Some games this season we've been beat before we've kicked off due to bizarre squad selection and team formation.
    Living the league 2 dream.

4 points out of 6 and a good old stuffing of a non league side. 12 goals scored and 2 conceded I would have taken that before the Sarfend game.

We just need a goalie, several defenders, tougher midfielders and a couple of forrads and we're sorted......
